Free Music Review: Outrageously Brilliant Talent!!

I just recently came across this album and it i must confess it has been sometime since i have listened to any of Paul Simons music. It is just a fantastic album and the quality of production is exceptional. Alot of Live albums are a bit hit & miss .. apart from the content the production can sometimes be left wanting. But not so with this album .. the quality is exceptional. Paul Simon is the ultimate Professional ... like most professionals in their chosen vocation they make it all look (& sound) so terribly easy. This album reminded me just what a talent this guy has got ... it oozes from every pore of his being. It is because he is so talented you just come to expect nothing less than perfection from this guy. I truly believe that because of his natural talent we can sometimes take what he does for granted. Concert in the Park left me gobsmacked .. i don't think there was a song i didn't enjoy. And the 9 & half minute rendition of the song - "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" is just outrageous ... this song just made me wish i was part of the audience when it was played. At least with this album i can hear the joy emanating from the audience with each song played and sadly although i wasn't there somehow this album makes me feel as though i was.Free Music Review: Great album

I waited years to purchase this album, and now that I own it, I wonder why I waited so long.
The song list is a good overview of Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints, as well as a good sprinkling of classics. Simon's revision of Kodachrome is especially good.
I am glad that Paul Simon has a good live album. Seeing him in concert a couple years ago was a fabulous experience. He is one of the great American artists. Meaningful lyrics, beautiful melodies, and occasionally infectious grooves and instrumentation.

There's just not enough good things to say about this album. The way he switched up all his classics such as throwing in a jazz piano interpretation of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" or the hand drumming on "Me and Julio", to the extended version of "The Coast" "Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes" "Proof" and "Cool Cool River" This recording is going down as one of the all time greatest live recordings in the history of American Music.Free Music Review: Concert in the Park Review

I bought this cd for my husband for christmas. It is one of his favorite albums and he really enjoys listening to it.
I ordered it only a few days before christmas and still received it on time.
There was a problem with the case being broken, but instead of delaying the shipment I was sent a replacement case. I thougth it was great that someone in customer service or shipping knew that it was important to deliver the cd on time (guessing that it was a christmas gift). The service was great and the music is terrific.
