touring for Yield was a powerful epic, as this live album shows. it contains some of their best known stuff (Even Flow, Daughter) while throwing in some less known material for the new listener (the great MFC, Hail Hail, Nothingman). the songs span their whole career. and anyone familiar with the live tracks they threw onto their singles knows that the sound quality has improved greatly, keeping the razor's edge riffs crisp and vedder's growl clean. a great live disc, almost a greatest hits so far. now with Binaural, Pearl Jam seems poised to take the world again.Free Music Review: Pearl Jam - 'Live On Two Legs' (Sony)

This 16-track disc was recorded live from the band's summer tour not to long ago.I've never had any Pearl Jam bootlegs before,so I was really glad to recieve this title.As for live albums,it's pretty flawless.I wasn't aware that Soundgarden's drummer Matt Cameron joined the band.Best songs would be "Hail,Hail,Hail","Daughter",the wailing "Red Mosquito","Even Flow","Do The Evolution",the beautiful "Better Man"(I always wondered who did this tune)and "****in' Up" Somewhere in here,vocalist Eddy Vedder comments 'pretty good singing...' This CD is THE best Pearl Jam album that I have heard to date. If you are a Pearl Jam fan you will love it and if you aren't a fan yet...you will be. It is a live production which is a clue as to how great this band really is.There isn't a bad or dull song on it.I recently rated Binaural, a more recent Pearl Jam production and it was absolute garbage. As a fan for some time, I almost felt bad putting the thing down so bad but I hated it with a passion! This album is Pearl Jam with the spirit and movement that made the band such a standout for so long.

Pearl Jam's live album is a quality album top to bottom. The songs flow together flawlessly, with a perfect blend of fast, heavy songs and slow melodic songs. Old classics from PJ's first album blend nicely with the new stuff to make a great album. The band has picked songs that sound great when performed live. Songs such as Corduroy, Given to Fly, and Do the Evolution are brought to a different level when performed live. Also, an untitled cut as well as Neil Young's F***in' Up are included. Even after listening to Ten and Yield, I didn't seem to hook up to their sound. This totally changed when I got myself Live on Two Legs. Cameron's drumming brings a new dimension to the music, I think even sounding better than before. Given to fly is a completely transformed song. Daughter couldn't get better, especially with the Neil Young's Rockin' in the Free World inserted verse, and Better Man just sounds perfect. A "must have" for any Pearl Jam fan, and a really great way to discover the band.
