Free Music Notes for Perfect WeightFree Music Review: Visualization works with consistancy Hit: 5 Stars
An interesting idea. Unfortunately I listen right before bed and it keeps putting me to sleep because I am so relaxed by Kathy's relaxation techniques. It's GREAT though because, even though I have not heard the whole CD, I sleep soundly. ;-) Also, I appreciate the ideas I HAVE heard. Learning to love ourselves is essential. Visualization is also a great way to convince ourselves of what we really want. Kathy uses visualization techniques effectively. I like what I have heard so far...
Free Music Review: The Path to Transformation and Real Weight Loss Hit: 4 Stars
I saw Kathy Freston on an interview and found her very inspiring. I recently got into Yoga and this CD reminds me very much of the "mindful path" my instructors teach. Kathy's words are beautiful and this CD is a great resource on the path to weight loss.
I bought "Perfect Weight" along with "Quantum Wellness: A Practical and Spiritual Guide to Health and Happiness" (Kathy's recent book) and "Body Esteem: Weight Loss Through Self-Discovery (includes 2 Audio CDs)" by Sherri Dawson. I'd recommend all three for someone serious about losing weight and living a more fulfilling life. The CDs in the "Body Esteem" program are also wonderful, but distinctly different than "Perfect Weight". Both are beautiful in their own way.
I'm already noticing positive changes in my life...namely eating more mindfully. Instead of another fad diet, I'm trying to just become healthier and treat my body with respect and compassion. I'm working on cleansing my body and integrating a more vegan approach into my lifestyle, nothing too radical too fast, instead just taking it one step at a time.
I'd definitely recommend this CD, but remember to be reasonable. After all, this meditation is certainly helpful to transformation, but there are other important steps in changing a lifestyle after thirty-some years of habits and emotional baggage surrounding food...well, at least for me.
I hope my review has been helpful to you.
Free Music Review: If you're into this sort of thing... Hit: 4 Stars
This is a meditation that seeks to connect the user to God through her spiritual center. If you're not into holistic therapies, this is NOT the product for you.
If, however, you are into that sort of thing (as I am), this is a good CD. Kathy has a soothing voice, and the guided meditation is helpful. A couple things that could be better: I wish she allowed more time during the initial relaxation phase, and the music toward the end of the CD is a bit cheesy. Overall, though, I'm glad I bought it.
I have a difficult time with meditation, but I'm sticking with it, hoping that it will become easier with practice.
Free Music Review: Creepy music Hit: 4 Stars
I can't speak to the effectiveness of this CD as far as weight loss goes -- I've listened to it three times and fell asleep every time. I guess it does help with relaxation! I don't like the background music at all -- some parts of it are somber and eerie. But overall I like it, I like the messages, and I will continue to use it.
Free Music Review: I like it. Hit: 4 Stars
Kathy's voice is very enjoyable, pleasant and soothing. The background
music and natural sounds are ingeniously combined and set the changing mood of the mediation. I look forward to listening daily.
I am very pleased with this item and recommend it.
