Growing up in NYC in the 70's I was fortunate enough to sit at Pete Seeger's feet more than once as he sang to all of us children on board The Clearwater. Naturally I have nostalgic feelings for his music because those were such wonderful memories. It's with great delight that I now listen to his music with my toddler son and realize that it really is as good as I remember it to be. This is a fun, happy CD and wonderful for children (and adults!) of all ages.

In addition to being an activist icon, Pete Seeger is also a singularly ingratiating entertainer whose effortless charm and gentle humor give him a natural rapport with children and adults alike. This expanded edition of the much-loved Children's Concert at Town Hall adds nine songs not on the original 1962 LP, and includes such favorites as "Skip to My Lou," "I've Been Working on the Railroad," "Michael Row the Boat Ashore," "Fifteen Miles on the Erie Canal," and Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land."
