Free Music Review: Heard Peter on Rockline. *Sounds Good*
Hit: 5 Stars

Heard Peter on Rockline and they previewed this album. I have since ordered myself a copy off of ebay as it appears that Best Buy are sold out of the autographed copys they were selling and I wanted an autographed copy. My parents are huge KISS fans so I have heard KISS all my life. Peter is my fav then I would say ACE. Even though Gene and Paul write and perform most of KISS music, I do like Peters songs and I really like his solo albums. I can't wait to get my copy in the mail. On the rockline interview Peter also said he has a CD of Swing music ready to put out. :) I hope this is true.

Hit: 5 Stars

What can I say, I feel like I'm 10 and just bought the 1978 solo record. It's different than KISS for sure. Don't buy this expecting KISS. Buy this and expect to hear what Peter brought to KISS. It has that Golden Era of America to it. And it should, that was his generation. I like that. It's different. It's nice to hear and be turned on to that style through Pete. Same as his other work (except 90's Criss project). His voice just takes me back to the 70's and childhood memories. This is a great CD by Peter Criss. You can even hear the Beatles influence in it.

Free Music Review: The BEST Peter Criss album...so far.
Hit: 5 Stars

Good to see all the TRUE reviews finally comming in about Peters new CD. Looks like most those negative reviews were written almost by the same person who has hard feelings for Peter or something? Most of them quoting remarks made by Gene Simmons in his various interviews, books ect about the Catman. I think this is Peters best work yet and very heartfelt. Good to see Peter getting on with his career and hope theres much more to come. I give it 5 stars *****

Free Music Review: At last...
Hit: 5 Stars

I just listened to it. It's way better than his solo album of 1978. Like someone else said below, it's honest. And unlike some reviews here, I find the production tight and subtle. Yes, it is soft, but not too polished. Some of the guitar works and piano does really fit his voice. My favorites are "Doesn't get better than this", "Send in the clowns" and "Space Ace". Only "Hope" should've been left out of this album.

Free Music Review: ONE FOR ALL - Until You Are Who You Really Are-
Hit: 4 Stars

I have read nothing but bad reviews about this CD since it first came out. This project from Peter Criss has been sliced to shreds by the jagged tongue of many..but just what is the truth here? Before this album was released, Criss fans stood with smiling faces saying how much they loved Peter, what a great drummer he is and was.. and how many thought that he was the backbone of Kiss. Then when the CD hit the stores, that all changed.. Suddenly fans were writing that Pete could never play drums and sided with Stanley and Simmons for giving him a raw deal in the band. So what's the issue here.. in truth, I think the world is a fickle place. They love something one minute and hate it the next. It's like society lives in a giant mood ring and changes it's color every day. They quote Gene Simmons as saying Peter Criss is tone def and that he had no clue when he recorded his 1978 solo album. But I ask, how could anyone side with a man with such a giant ego and not really the musical skill himself to back it up. Sure Simmons was a great bassist and had some good songs with Kiss.. But his solo efforts lack talent, melody and heart. Could any real music fan spin Gene's A** hole Cd and say it was good? I heard it once and sold it back to the FYE that I purchased it from.. Now there was an album that had no clue. And let's remember, everyone loved Kiss until they took off their make up in the 80's.. Then they were well hated until they put it back on again. In a world where all music is liked as long as every artist sounds pretty much the same.. and those who love you today and hate you tomorrow.. ALL FOR ONE stood no chance.. But is this new effort from Peter Criss really a train wreck as many say? Not really..admittedly, Peter's voice didn't carry as well as it should have on some songs.. and he should have put a little more power behind it and released a real good power blues CD. I think that's where Peter's talent would suite him best. He really shouldn't have tried to be Sinatra on this album, because his voice is in a different class than old blue eyes. But over all, the album wasn't that bad, and yeah, it grew on me pretty good after about three listens.. The musical arrangemnts were fairly good and I liked the guitars and drums, the music had kind of a cool vibe. And those who gave the album a bad review after previewing 30 second snipits of songs over the internet really did write those reviews from a place of ignorance. That would be like going into a bookstore, picking up a best seller and reading the first ten words on the first ten pages and then saying, "hey, this book sucks and this guy can't write." I mean, let's get a little real here. If you don't like jazz, blues and mellow contemporary music, your going to hate this album.. it is not Kiss, but it is not bad. Peter Criss was being true to his heart and personal tastes here.. And naturally, I think, when you take off your make up and masks in this world and be who you really are.. the world hates you for it. Because in the long run, everyone wants everyone else to be pretty much a carbon copy of the next guy and just blend in. Different is considered bad or stupid..and that is a sad truth. The CD is not a bad listen at all really..I actually like it. Sure Peter Criss is not the master vocalist of our time, or anytime for that matter, but he's not the worst either and works with what he has and tries to experiment with it. I give it four stars.. 3 for being a decent listen..and 1..just because I'm a fan and can actually get what he tried to do here..
