Free Music Notes for One for AllFree Music Review: one for less Hit: 2 Stars
Free Music Review: Like a PUG Hit: 2 Stars
Have you ever seen one of those flat nosed dogs that was so ugly it was cute? This reminds me of that. The songs are so bad that they're almost good. There is a certain comic effect to this record that nearly rates it a three stars. Pete can't sing, can't play, but this is so awful that it's entertaining, almost!

I love Peter's voice but his song writing is weak on this and his voice has lost a little edge but this is an easy listening recording so maybe if he rocks out on the next one it will bring him back.
Free Music Review: Shockingly horrible Hit: 1 Stars
Do I even need to say I'm a life-long KISS fan? I mean, let's be honest, who else is buying this cd? So I'm a fan. Like many, I've got practically every official KISS release there is (minus some of the recent Greatest Hits packages--how many versions of Detroit Rock City do I really need?).
I bought this for a host of reasons, the biggest of which was just plain curiosity. I certainly didn't have any hopes of actually liking it. Peter's not a songwriter, he's a sub-par drummer (how a guy can play drums for 50 years and still stink is actually quite impressive), and his vocal range is limited. But I was curious--and it was worth $12 to hear what Peter had put together.
I am stunned. Amazed. Totally floored at how truly awful this album is. Gene Simmons once said that Peter's '78 solo record was proof that the guy behind it just didn't have a clue. Ditto on this one.
To Peter's credit, he apparently could care less that KISS fans will probably trash this record, since it is about as far removed from KISS as it could possibly be. So kudos to Pete for just doing what he wants to do. I guess when you produce the cd yourself and issue it on your own label, you can do whatever you want. Good for him.
There's really nothing at all that's good about this disc with the exception of the recording quality. Outside of that, however, the songs are jaw-droppingly horrendous, the lyrics are awkward and trite, and the vocals are absolutely weak in most places. To me, this sounds like lite R&B mixed with slow, melancholy show-tunes. It's almost impressive in it's awfulness.
Maybe Ace's looooong overdue cd will be a little better. Regardless of how good or bad it is, I'll buy that one too, just out of curiosity.
Free Music Review: Sorry to say it........ Hit: 1 Stars
First of all, let me say that, I love Peter Criss. Always have, always will - I've even met the man. But in all honesty, this album is terrible. Yes, I am a true KISS fan so I tried to like it just for that. There's many diehard fans that probably won't admit to how bad this album is because it takes their idol down a notch. I know it's not a KISS album - never expected one. I listen to all ranges of music. I had the Phantom of the Opera cast recording with Michael Crawford years before Paul Stanley landed the job! I know and can appreciate good music or even talent when I hear it. But Pete's effort fails miserably. I'm not sure if his voice is gone or if he's just tone deaf, but there are moments on this album that are painful to listen to, honestly! Totally off-key from almost start to finish. Sure there are parts that are tolerable, but the man truly has a small window of range that he even needs to attempt. This is truly the worst album that I've ever purchased new. Maybe if Pete had used a producer everything would have worked out at least a little better, but not sure how much. An honest producer would have probably suggested to have scrapped the entire project and not let Pete embarass himself by releasing it. I know I would have. Not the way I want to remember someone who has influenced the world of music the way he has. If you don't agree, there's something wrong with you and you just don't want to admit it to yourself. Keep believing in fairytales and that the golden boys of KISS can do no wrong, but I grew up a long time
