Free Music Review: RE-THOUGHT IT
Hit: 4 Stars

Definitley need a re-issue, with all the songs on it now, On The Air, DIY (for certain, i mean we can all complain about the track selection but this 'definitve collection' skips a whole album!) & the ones added on the german release, as well as 'Out, Out' from Gremlins & When Your Falling from the Afro Celt collaberation (if he can get the rights). Theres too many (essential) things missing for this to be a 'definitive collection'. B-sides (soft dog, dont break this rythym...) would be nice, more live versions-this is box set territory, but that at least, is definitive. Casual listners start here, die-hards buy it. Those in between-write angry letters & reviews!

Free Music Review: THE BEST OF...THE BEST
Hit: 5 Stars

Saw PG's last tour and it was AMAZING. This CD is a MUST for any die-hard PG fan.

Will Genesis ever reunite? Can't wait for new material from PG!

Free Music Review: Missing One Key Song!
Hit: 5 Stars

This collection does not have the song, "Shaking The Tree" -- what a shame!!!

Free Music Review: Hit!
Hit: 4 Stars

Some artists defy classification. Peter Gabriel remains one of the most creative, underated, prolific and powerful performers of our day. Overall I would rate Hit! as a very good sampler of his most popular songs. However, some of the selections from both his second CD and Security seem to be overlooked. For example I would have included No Self Control, Lead a Normal Life, Kiss of Life and Wallflower to the CD. Some other selections such as San Jacinto, Family Snapshot and The Rythm of the Heat could have been easily deleted in my opinion. However, as far as an overll value for the money I would rate Hit! as a five star compilation. For the true Gabriel fan I would recomend purchasing both his second solo and Security CD's. Hit! is a decent enough sampler, but the selection sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. San Jacinto over Kiss of Life? Odviously Gabriel didn't have much say in the selections.

Free Music Review: Great Music, So-So Collection
Hit: 3 Stars

I'm a hige Peter Gabriel fan and I own virtually everything he has out so getting this album wasn't high on my list because there wasn't much that is new. Now that I have it and have listened to it I'm a little disappointed. Not by the music itself but by what is included. I think I can sum this up by comparing this collection to the Bruce Springsteen collection released about the same time. Bruce's collection was three discs, two of hits and one of rarities and live performances. With two discs there was plenty of space to cover all the hits and then some. That is what I found was missing on Peter's Hit were some singles like "The Barry Williams Show" while other songs from that album were included. All in all it is a great collection, just not as complete as I would prefer.
