I was skeptical at first, because i know that pharrell can get a little bit "too" creative and abstract with his lyrics. But he proved me wrong. He features tracks with modern day rap/hip-hop icons such as snoop dogg, nelly, and jay-z and never get's outshined by one of them. This guy is the michael jordan of the music. Legendary at producing, Good At singing, and strong at rapping.
--Can I have it like that--Feat. Gwen Stefani-- Everybody has already heard this song, simple baseline with a catchy beat and hooks. 8/10
--How does it feel?-- Synthesized Base, with a drumline type beat, song is one of the best and creative on the album. 10/10
--Raspy S***-- Uses a line from another hit single, drop it like it's hot, and makes it the hook. creative, yet average sounding 7.5/10
--Best Friend-- Half Rap half R&B song, basically narrates the important parts of his life. Pretty catchy song 8/10
--You can do it too-- Slow song that has live drums, sound like something that would be on a N.E.R.D album because it posesses a vibe kind of like they're other hit song"provider", pretty good song 8.5/10
--Keep it playa-- Catchy beat featuring slim thug, not the strongest song but still good 8.0/10
--That Girl-- Anytime you hear Snoop and Pharrell on the same track it's fire, this is no exception 10/10
--Angel-- The R&B/Pop single that most people have heard, great song 9/10
--Young girl/ I really like you Feat Jay-z-- Sounds like it could be a Prince song. Great song, great verse from jay-z

--Dim the Lights-- Put it on the playlist with your luther vandross, babyface, and ne-yo. This is a late night romance song. Pretty good lyrics, with an early 90's type melody.

--Our Father-- A Pop/R&B song with gospel music lyrics, excellent song, extremely creative, I wish the album would have ended with this song. 10/10
--Number one-- The hit single featuring Kanye West, It's a great song, but i've heard it so many times, so it's a 8/10
--Show you how to hustle-- Rap song, Solid lyrical performance by Pharrell, Solid song 9/10
The only knock I have on this album is that It was way too short, 15 tracks!? I need 30 Lol!, This stuff never get's old,
It's an Instant Classic, with melodies that are completely original.

Roughly one half hip-hop and one half R&B, In My Mind follows the magic formula that?s seen Williams reinvigorate the careers of everyone from Britney and *NSYNC to Snoop Dogg and Nelly, drawing on music styles as disparate as metal and reggaeton and shaping them together with adventurous effect. In particular, the marching-band rhythms of "Keep It Playa" and the booming, atonal space-funk of "Can I Have It Like That" - featuring a brief cameo by Gwen Stefani - are startling examples of Williams? production wizardry.As an album, it?s not without its flaws: "Our Father" might wash with the God-fearing hip-hop fraternity, but more cynical audiences might balk at the Williams? assertion that "Jesus is my playa"; meanwhile a duet with Jay-Z, "Young Girls", shows up the occasional weaknesses of his flow.
