Free Music Review: What a great sound for Phil....

Being a drummer myself, what a delight it is to hear Phil behind the kit for an entire album, doing what he loves to do. The sound is tight, the musicians have all done a fabulous job, and if you are not into swing or big band music, this may be the album to get you into it. I feel the only downside to the album is that "Hold On My Heart" is a little too slow, just a little bit though, and that they should have put more songs on here. I'll admit that I was worried when I first bought this CD. I had read a few reviews on the album and they weren't very impressive. Now I releize why the reviews were poor. This is a jazz album and because of this rock reviews probably won't give it the credit it deserves. This is not Phil Collins standard rock/pop album, but it is a very good jazz album that shows Collins talents in various genres of music!Free Music Review: Something totally different for Phil

I was very impressed with Phil's big band sound,for me the jazz version of against all odds was worth the price of the CD alone it gave me chills,and the 12 minute version of "Pick up the pieces" is AWESOME to crank up and "FUNK OUT" to,I had bought this CD just because it was Phil and although it sounds nothing like Phil I can still really get into it.Free Music Review: amazon you are not right

Phil Collins did never better singing than drumming...perhaps he's not as subtile now as he was with Brand x, that's true but i'm a drummer and i know some things about drumming and what he did with genesis in the 70's on drums was great...HE's surely one of the 100 most impressive drummers of our century but i don't think that he's part of the 100 best singersFree Music Review: amazon you are not right
