Free Music Notes for Philadelphia Chickens (Sandra Boynton's Imaginary Musical Revue)

Free Music Review: Not just for kids....
Hit: 5 Stars

I admit it. I'm easily amused. I got my kids around the CD to listen - and while they recognized the song "Snuggle Puppy" they weren't exactly impressed. I hope that changes -- because I am! I love music and Sandra Boynton - so I bought this out of curiosity to see how the two mixed. I was (and am) thrilled! The music is "real" and not toned down for Children. And the music is not boring so I'm putting it in my van for errand days. This CD is just plain fun! And a must for Sandra Boynton fans. I'm a 31 yr old mom of 3 -- and this has become MY cd. I'll share, if the kids want, but I'll be singing the song "I Like to Fuss".

Free Music Review: Can't get Enough!
Hit: 5 Stars

We got this CD as a gift from Grandma 2 years ago and we are still listening - and enjoying - this CD to this day. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old who listen to it in the car, in the living room, even when they are bathing the big request is ALWAYS - Philadelphia Chickens! If you are really searching for great music that both you and your child will love then BUY THIS ONE! I can't express enough how lovely and whimsical this CD is. From charming songs like "Snuggle Puppy" sung sweetly by Eric Stoltz to the down right silly "Please can I keep it". You surely won't be disappointed!

Free Music Review: Great for kids and parents alike
Hit: 5 Stars

My kids are big fans of Sandra Boynton's books, and I love her quirky humor. One of our favorite books ("Pajama Time") is included in the musical score on this CD, and the rest of the songs live up to my (very high) expectations as well. The music is well done, a good variety of styles and decent complexity, so the songs won't drive Mom nuts after she's heard them a few times! It's refreshing to have various voices, including some actors whose singing is a previously untapped talent (Scott Bakula, Natasha Richardson) as well as some I already knew (Kevin Bacon, Kevin Kline.)

Free Music Review: LOVE it!!
Hit: 5 Stars

My son just got "Dog Train" for his first birthday. I don't know what his opinion on it is yet, but I love it! I love it so much that I ran out to buy a couple more as gifts for my son's playgroup friends. That's when I saw "Philadelphia Chickens" and "Rhinosaurus Tap". I bought both and am completely in love with "Philadelphia Chickens". The songs are really catchy and grown-up enough sounding that I don't get that crazy feeling that I get after listening to other kiddies CDS over and over. Chances are pretty good that I'll be buying a bunch of them as gifts too!

Free Music Review: Poultry in motion, it's a beautiful thing!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of our favorite CDs in the car because I love it as much as my kids do. My daughter is 9 and is old enough to understand why some of the lyrics are really funny. She cracks up when the Aardvarks sing their song. My son is 3 and simply loves the music and the songs. He named his Webkinz pet Bob after the pets in "Fifteen Animals". And we have had to sing "Snuggle Puppy" to him every night since we got this CD. I would recommend this CD along with the others in the Boynton collection to anyone with kids, a sense of humor, or both.
