this is, hands down, no questions asked, my favorite band in the world. so what do i think of the new fireproof? to be honest, it sounds amazing, really amazing, you have to hand it to these guys, they made it sooo far, they deserved this. i'm so happy for them, and now (more importantly)they will touch others, in the secular music world with Christ. that is something wonderful. as for the album, here's my review.1. fireproof-this new version of the song absolutely blew me away, i must admit, this is my prefered version of this song.
2. behind closed doors-this song is really good too, however, it was just as good before i think, except the new intro, that's pretty cool.
3. a shame-i'm torn with this one, i like the new version, it really rocks. but, i liked the beat to the original verse better.
4. echelon-there's no way to make this song any better, it is what it is.
5. hindsight-this version i must admit, sounds almost exactly like the original.
6. light at my feet-this version of this song is really good, i like it just as much as the original.
7. stay up-this version of this song is awesome, it blew me away, so much more energy, i love it.
8. epidemic-this song sounds a little different now, it playes faster i think, i like what they did with this great song.
9. just to get by-this song is so amazing now, it always was, and i always loved it, but there's a new punch to it now, it is truly beautiful, this, along with fireproof, are the 2 best re-recorded songs on the album.
10. indivisible-this song, does what the other did, makes you close your eyes, and ponder. it gives you goosebumps, and for that, this version does no better, but no worse, it is what it is.
11. further from myself-this song is great too, but this version honestly isn't any better or worse, it is what it is (again)
in short, it is a five star album, it already was, but this is a good treat. it's always nice to have this, and the old one too. both are amazing. if you don't have the old one, i would say...get this one right away, don't hesitate. peace

It's amazing what gathering healthy record company resources can do for good music. As evidenced with the first incantation of Fireproof, a band can work hard as an independent and release a quality product only to see it reach a relative few ears. With MCA behind them, Midwestern metalheads Pillar have re-released Fireproof with improved production and mixing and a final product as good as anything on the market. Even though the stylistic references to Limp Bizkit ("Light at My Feet"), P.O.D. ("Fireproof"), and Linkin Park ("Echelon") are frequent, they strike out enough of their own turf with a rock-solid rhythm from bassist Kalel and tastefully sharp guitar licks from Noah Henson. Singer Rob Beckley carries the vocal intensity and range to match his bandmates' raw power. He's also down with the bass-heavy groove as you'll hear on "Stay Up," a rapid-fire duet with rapper KJ-52. With Fireproof, Pillar rises to the forefront of today's best Christian rock bands.
