PILLAR is real rock. The album is awesome. See them in concert if you get a chance. Buy this Cd, recommend it to friends, buy it for birthday presents. After you purchase this and wear it out try Seventh Day Slumber and Skillet. Great music, great people. Support them as much as you can. Get on their website and buy a t-shirt!

Free Music Review: Stadium rock returns!
Hit: 4 Stars

It's usually easy to dismiss a CD like this as another Christian rock album. And I'm not going to argue with you if you complain that every song sounds the same, because they most certainly do. It doesn't feel like it's an inspired album, nor is it going to inspire anyone in particular, either. But it's a big album, with 9 big stadium rock numbers and 1 big heartfelt rock ballad. Is it something totally new and fresh?... Probably not. But here's what it is: stadium rock brought to the Christian music genre, loosely following the sounds of DecembeRadio and Audioslave. You're supposed to throw up your fist in the air and sing along. You're supposed to be drowned in thick guitar rhythms and pumping double-bass drum breakdowns. You're supposed to be greeted with a title track that doubles as an ESPN Sportscenter promotional commercial. Any expectations beyond a big CD with big songs will surely leave you disappointed. But if you come before "For The Love of The Game" wanting gritty electric guitars, upbeat and encouraging lyrics, heavy bass, and thumping percussion forming almost 40 minutes of some fast, fun hard stadium rock, you're going to love this CD. For everything it is, it's a great CD full of foot-stomping, fist-pumping rock & roll, which is everything Pillar wanted it to be. As for long-time fans of the band, this isn't the Pillar you're used to, probably, but it's got all the energy you've come to expect from Pillar, so don't expect it to be toned down. It's loud, brash, and just plain fun. Recommended for anyone that just wants to rock out a bit under the banner of a Christian band.

Free Music Review: The Return Of The Hard Rock Anthem
Hit: 4 Stars

With so many rock bands out there trying to come up with the next anthem tune, it's nice to see that Pillar has returned to their anthemic ways with "For The Love Of The Game." This time around, Pillar is rocking harder and heavier and still manage to squeeze in some melodic tunes. Unlike their two previous albums, the late 80's/early 90's metal and hard rock influences bleed through. I can hear a little bit of Def Leppard and a whole lotta Skid Row (especially in "Reckless Youth," which borders on plagiarism). There are plenty of songs to shout to that beckon one to remember tunes like "Frontline." Some of the highlights of this album include the title track, "Get Back," "Turn It Up" and the wonderful "Smiling Down." My personal favorite tune is "State of Emergency."

Hard rock fans will rejoice with this album and its sound so rooted in hair metal and hard rock. This is not only an uplifting album, but a great album to relieve stress to. Highly recommended to anybody who loves great hard rock, nu metal, and hair metal.

Free Music Review: Good CD, withone minor prob
Hit: 4 Stars

The was a solid effort from Pillar. no bad songs, which is hard to find, I am sort of an album guy, I want a list of good solid songs, with no bad ones, and I don't need a top 40 hit to be happy. This fits the bill. Only down side is the rip off of 'Youth Gone Wild' from Skid Row. surprised they did not get sued.
