Free Music Review: Unexpected Treasure - Fantastic Lyrics and Tunes!
Hit: 5 Stars

I got this CD through the Pepsi Stuff promotion, mainly because I love the song "Who Knew". I'm middle aged and assumed I'd like just that one track. I never expected to discover so many great songs with such intelligent and often funny lyrics. I'm now realizing many of the songs I've heard and liked on the radio were Pink.

While I still can't get enough of "Who Knew" - and I agree with another reviewer that the song must be one of the best songs ever - I'm equally smitten with the energy, catchy tunes and attitude of "Leave Me Alone/I'm Lonely" and "U and UR Hand". I've had a hard time getting myself to stop playing them long enough to give the other tracks a fair listen, so I'm still discovering gems among them.

If bad language bothers you or if you have kids you don't want to hear it (and you don't want to have to wait till they're not around to listen to this CD), I'd recommend the clean version. I personally enjoy the additional attitude and emphasis that it brings to these songs and don't find it objectionable. My only regret is that I waited so long to get this CD and didn't buy it last winter when I first heard "Who Knew". I also wish I'd discovered Pink sooner - impressed she writes her song and love the voice - who knew?

Free Music Review: Try THIS!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD is AMAZING!!! I don't need to sell anyone on P!nk as an artist because you either love her or hater her....So, I will cut right to the chase, her new CD.

I have been waiting 2 1/2 long years for this. This more than makes up for what her 2003 CD (Try This!) was lacking. She is as raw, bold and as vocally strong as she was on Missundaztood. Except on "I'm Not Dead" you can feel and hear growth from P!nk.

Every song on here is so lyrically and melody driven I can picture all of them being hits on the radio. The music on this set takes on the the same type of pop/rock as Kelly Clarkson did on "Breakaway" - but, P!nk is BY FAR in a leaugue of her own. Her lyrics are far more raw and telling. YOu can also hear what sets her apart in her raspy/smokey/P!nk voice!! She challenges everyone in her songwriting - which always leaves each song open to your own interpretation.

EVERY song on here is a standout track. But, my favorites after listening to it, non-stop, for the past week are:

Who Knew
Cuz I Can
Long Way To Happy
Dear Mr. President

This is a must have for everyone! P!nk is not one to follow the rules or "dumb herself down" but, she certainly knows what her fans want!!!!

Free Music Review: Pink is definitely not just one of the "Girls"...
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all, I'm definitely not your "typical" Pink fan. I'm a Rock/Metal fan who grew up on UFO, Motley Crue, Scorpions and anything else that had big guitars and bigger hair. I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I have always liked Pink's voice and thought she could sing, but I don't like dance music and that's always what I had thought most of her music was- I was wrong. I saw her perform Who Knew on the David Letterman show and immediately bought the CD.
This album has it all if you like music that is varied and has vocals that that make you "feel" the songs. Pink has a voice that can rock with the best of them and then slow it down and feel the emotion of the lyrics. The songs range from "Pop/Rockers"(Who Knew, U & Ur Hand, Long Way To Happy and Leave Me Alone), "Ballads"(Nobody Knows and Runaway), "Dance Tunes"(Stupid Girls) and even "Statement Songs"(Dear Mr. President).
Pink writes with a few different people and I was a little suprised to see Butch Walker had co-written a couple of songs, I knew he had worked with alot of different people, but I didn't know Pink was one of them. If you're not familliar with Butch, check out Marvelous 3 or his solo work.
This album is simply a great piece of music and you should definitely give it a listen.

Free Music Review: Fantastic discovery!
Hit: 5 Stars

I never was a fan of hip hop/dance/rap music, so I never really paid attention to Pink. I'll be the first to admit that was a big mistake. I heard "Who Knew" on the radio and was absolutely bowled over! I immediately went out and bought the album based on that one song. Turns out the album is full of fantastic musical gems. I didn't realize she changed her style to more of a rock/pop style. "Stupid Girls" is a great social statement (and totally made me think of Paris Hilton). "Who Knew" is one of my favorite songs of all times. "Long Way to Happy" is so catchy and awesome, it's my 2nd fave on the album. "Nobody Knows", "Dear Mr. President" and "I Got Money Now" are all great slowed down songs. I almost cried the first time I heard "Dear Mr. President". Extremely political and so very true, beautifully sung and deserves a lot of attention. "U + Ur Hand" and "Leave me Alone" are fun and full of attitude.

I'd like to add that not only is this album awesome, but I finally found out that Pink is an incredible vocalist and performer. Based on that, I ended up buying Misunduztood and there are several songs on that album I loved as well. I just wish I had noticed Pink long before this! Buy the album, you won't be disappointed!

Free Music Review: Pink is Not Dead...She is ALIVE!
Hit: 5 Stars

This new Pink album is just simply AMAZING! First I should say, while I have always loved Pink's vocals and style, I never really fell in love or purchased any of her previous CD's. They just didn't appeal to me as much. But now, with "I'm Not Dead". Pink lets it all hang out and deliveres a #1 HIT ALBUM.

The single "Stupid Girls" while funny and great itself, doesn't show the glory of the whole album. Still, it was released I think more to grab the attention of listeners and just to make fun of current celebrities.

"Who Knew" is a pop-rock ballad that for some reason reminds me of a No Doubt song. It's an awesome song and possible single.
I really like "U + Ur Hand". It's a fast rock-like song that keeps you moving! "Cuz I Can" is probably my favoirte song on the album. It's got a funky R&B vide that is just so very catchy. Her voice sounds great as well.

Other great tracks:

Dear Mr. President
Nobody Knows
Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)
Long Way To Happy
I'm Not Dead

Pretty much every song is a hit single waiting to happen. With this Album, Pink shows that she most deff. is not dead, but very much alive!!
