Free Music Review: Sheer shining brilliance.

Poe has toned down the psychosis and punched up the emotional impact on this new album while still taking just as many stylistic risks as with her first album Hello. No two tracks on this disc are alike musically, but all are even more personal and powerful than her debut. Even the more humorous songs like "Not A Virgin" are more cynical than playful and carry intense weight. You simply can't help relating to every word of what's going on here even if you have no idea of the life story that inspired Poe to write these songs. When "Haunted" came out, I was there to buy it. It had been years since we heard anything from POE and usually a sophomore effort sucks. I was wrong. The music on "Haunted," the lyrics, wow, grown up, and that was great 'cause all of us Psychos grew up too. This is truly an album. Everytime I put it in, I listen to the whole thing. This was the second album i put on my iPod, the first being "Hello."
POE is wonderful, just give her a chance. She will mezmerize you and before you know it, you will be an Angry Psycho too.

The whole idea behind this album is one of the most innovative and poignant that I've ever come across. The music is based on notes and recordings from her father. There also seems to be an influence taken from a book written by her brother. the last song in the continuity of her story is a "duet" in which she says goodbye to her father, by singing to recordings of a conversation with him. It is one of the most beautiful things I've ever comes across, in music or otherwise.Free Music Review: Absolutely "haunting"

This is one of my all time favorite albums. A "must have". I think it's 100 times better than her first album. Two favorite tracks are "Haunted" (the lyrics are amazing), and "Spanish Doll". I love this album so much and wish she's release a new one, the wait is torturous! Buy it!Free Music Review: A Masterpiece!

This album is amazing from start to finish. I absolutely am inlove with it. It's VERY multidimensional and surreal. Poe is such a talented woman. Definitely buy this!
