Free Music Notes for Best of Ballads & BluesFree Music Review: Greatest hits 2 Hit: 3 Stars
Poison rocks.
This cd is the greatest hits 2, featuring tracks from every album except for the most recent 'Hollyweird' which is great however it had some of the same songs as the first greatest hits cd.
I believe it should've focused even more on the best tracks from the albums that came out after the first greatest hits : 'Crack a smile', 'Power to the people' and 'Hollyweird' and also the best hits from 'Native tongue' as there was only one song from that album on the first greatest hits. A combination of this album and the 'Rock champions' compilation would have been perfect.
Free Music Review: Greatest hits vol. 2??? Hit: 3 Stars
The first Poison greatest hits collection was one fine piece of work, including all their singles, bonus tracks, and extensive linear notes. Best of Ballads and Blues includes some songs that were not included in the first set (Until You Suffer Some (Fire and Ice),Be the One), but is bogged down since half the songs on this appeared on their first best-of set, which was more diversified between ballads, blues, and rockers.Still, the new additions here make it a worthy addition to their first Greatest Hits album, but byfar not its successor (like it ever needed one).
Free Music Review: Good, but there is better!! Hit: 3 Stars
Everyone loves Poison...that's why they still tour, and sell records. However, for those of you who have NOT checked out Bret Michael's solo record, SONGS OF LIFE, you're missing out. Bret IS the songwriter in Poison..and you can hear that clearly on Songs of Life. As far as Poison compilation records go, 86-96 is a much better record.
