Poison's second album Open Up and Say Ahh!is 80's hair metal at it's very best.Besides the obivious hit single the power ballad Every Rose Has it's Thorn,the album contains the great feel good anthem Nothin but a Good Time.These two songs are not the only worthwhile tracks on the album.Everything in between the opener Love on the Rocks and Bad to Be Good is excellent.Check out the awesome cover of Loggins and Messina's Your Mama Don't Dance.If you are new to Poison get this album instead of the greatest hits.I notice this album has gone out of print,Capital records better be remastering it,to be reissued.Free Music Review: Their best effort, and their best album

Along with Metallica, Van Hallen, Def Leppard, Run D.M.C., and The Beastie Boys; Poison was the dominant band of the 80's. I would like to point out that power ballads were some of the most popular songs of that paticular time. Also, the single, "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", proved that Poison weren't just a party band, but that they could also write a serious song, and get a hit out of it(remember, "Every Rose" may have been the groups only single to do so, but still, the "serious" song became a huge smash. This was Poison's second album. It showed a real progression from their first album, which was also excellent. The best song on the album is Nothin' But A Good Time, which is a great rock anthem. Here are the songs, in order of how good they are: #10: Good Love#9: Back To The Rocking Horse

This album came out and blew me away ! It remains one of my favorite albums of all time !
Poison was near it's height after releasing this album and what an album it is !
Featuring the classic and played over 1 million times on the radio "Every Rose Has It's Thorn","Nothing But A Good Time".
You can't lose buying this cd..it still has the power to rock your socks off !

I really love Poison! The guitar riffs are great, listen to "Fallen Angel" to notice this better. "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" is a great 80's song, if you listen to any classic rock station, they'll likely be playing it often. "Fallen Angel" is my favorite though, I LOVE THE GUITAR PLAYING IN IT!!! Check this out. Oh, I notice that someone... *cough* untalented Hilary Duff *cough* copying the Open Up And Say Ahh cover. That is rude; expect a one-star!!!
