Poison is a really good group. I've loved them for a long time, ever since I bought their first album. This is to the person who wrote "Every Rose Has Its Thorn, was particularly awful" to him I say he needs to listen to the song again and appreciate it. They worked hard for what they have even though they were having a good time. This album is wonderful, especially "Fallen Angel" that's my favorite song. It helped me through a really tough time. This disc is alot better than "Cat Dragged In" probably because Poison had matured a little bit and wiped off some of the makeup (not all of it). "Nothin' But a Good Time" was catchy and popular and you can't deny that. "Fallen Angel" is also a well written track. "Every Rose", of course, needs no description being one of the most popular ballads of the 20th century. Just don't take Poison too seriously and you won't be disappointed.Free Music Review: Nothin' but a good time

Sure, Poison is the butt of a lot of 80's glam metal jokes, but they must have done something right to be remembered! Of course they don't rank with music legends, they weren't trying to. But if you can listen to "Nothing but a Good Time" and "Your Momma Don't Dance" without feeling any kind of rush of party adrenaline, you've lost your love for fun rock 'n roll music, or you never had it in the first place.Free Music Review: Best of their time and type

I would have to say that Poison is the best hard rock group of their time and their type. I also really like the inflection, or you could also say the character, that they put into all their songs. One of their songs, which I would have to say is their best, that I just love is "Nothin but a Good Time". That is really one of my most favorite songs I have ever heard. This record has a message, and that message is 'ladies, take off your clothes.' I put this whole style of music in a catagory I call 'Bitchin' Metal. Now where is my hairspray, fringe pants and cowboy boots.
