Free Music Notes for Power to the People AlbumFree Music Review: Weak and Unnecessary Hit: 1 Stars
The summer 2000 tour did well as it was a breath of fresh air for Poison to come back after so many years as the original lineup, though now their continuous touring summer after summer (with weaker and weaker tour packages every year) is getting stagnant and boring now. This album was worthless, plain and simple. The summer 2000 tour actually helped sell more copies of the Poison Greatest Hits collection album than it did this stinker. Not slamming Poison here, but the songs are just bad and boring. Poison doesnt have the power of say a Metallica to put out "bad" albums, but still be able to sell them on the band name alone. While I don't have a problem with them touring and playing the classics, I see no real reason for them to release poor cheesy albums that even the most die-hard Poison fan could care less about. There have been other older hair-metal bands that have released MUCH BETTER recent albums than Poison did the last few years and get little or no exposure at all. Poison should be lucky this album was able to sell 20k units.
