Free Music Review: Poison's REAL guitarist returns
Hit: 4 Stars

In 1993, Poison replaced their guitarist for 7 years, C.C. Deville, and replaced him with Richie Kotzen. After Kotzen was fired, Blues Saraceno replaced him. Don't get me wrong, Richie and Blues are goog players, but they aren't as good as CC Deville. And when they were in Poison, they were trying to be CC Deville (Which They Weren't). Finally, after Blues left, CC returned. The live tracks on this album aren't as good as those on SWALLOW THIS LIVE, but they still sound good. CC is the best musician in the band, as he always was. The best of the new songs is without a doubt Can't Bring Me Down. Power to the people (The song) is okay, but not one of Poison's greatest. Overall, a good album.

Free Music Review: Poison still rocks !
Hit: 4 Stars

The latest cd from Poison was a great effort. All the studio tracks rock ! Alot of the reviewers are like most and want the new stuff to sound like Open Up And Say Ahh or another earlier release. People hate to see change in a band but I DO like to see change. As a huge Poison fan I think this cd is well worth the money ! The only disappointment of this cd is the live stuff.

After releasing Native Tounge or Crack A Smile (which are kick ass cds) I would have thought Poison had more to say and would have spared us from another live collection. I would have given it 5 stars if it had all been new studio stuff but the live stuff sounds terrible.

Free Music Review: Poison's back!
Hit: 4 Stars

What can I say but great? The 5 studio tracks puts Poison right back on the map! Real great Poison tracks and you can hear that C.C. is back. There is a lot of energy in the songs. Just for these songs I would have bought this CD! There are also 12 live songs on it. This is like a live hits collection, much like Swallow This Live, so nothing special there. Again, only the 5 studio songs are well worth getting this album if you like Poison the way they were.

Free Music Review: good fun
Hit: 4 Stars

my only complaint about this cd is that the levels between songs is quite uneven so you have to have the volume controls within reach to compensate at times. otherwise i thought it was quite good and did a good job of capturing the feel of their tour from last summer. too bad they couldn't include the cover of "rock n' roll all nite" that they played last summer on the tour.

nice to see that poison is still alive and kickin'

Free Music Review: The Return of C.C. Deville!!
Hit: 4 Stars

The 2000 Edition of Poison is here and it features the Return of C.C. Deville! Quite possibly one of the best Glam guitaurist of the 80's, C.C. re-takes his place beside his Poison band mates. Featuring 5 new Studio tracks that show a maturing but still great musical talent and one track featuring CC. on lead vocals PTTP is bringing Poison into the 21st century...
