Free Music Review: Very Disappointing

For any music lovers out there who are late learning about the wonder that is Jane's Addiciton and subsequently Porno For Pyros, avoid this album. All the positive reviews are very misleading in my opinion. Anyone who likes the band will of course be curious to hear this album. I don't discourage you. I just want to save you the frustration and disappointment that I experienced with this. I LOVED Jane's in the heyday, and still do, and the first PFP album is killer. This last gasp for PFP was created over a period of a few years while the strung out band members escaped for surfing trips to try to get clean. They didn't have much focus or drive on this one. I have had this cd for years and really WANTED to like it. It's just boring. Tahitian Moon is ok for a few listens....Free Music Review: I couldn't give this CD away fast enough

This CD is rubbish...No matter how I tried to "understand" or get into this album I never got it...It's like one, boring 45-minute song...What's sad, too, is the new Jane's Addiction CD "Strays" is striking me the same way...Maybe I've just out-grown these guys...Free Music Review: boring, buy the first album and be done

Buy the first album, it's much livlier. This album is like slow Janes Addiction, except really DULL. The first Porno album is awesome, but pass on this one. I played it several times today expecting an even better experience over the first album and was hugely let down. Oh well, it was cheap.
