Free Music Review: hells yeah

This album almost feels like the melding of all pm5k styles put into one album. It starts off with a sci-fi intro with a clip from the movie "planet of the vampires" I believe. "Show me what you've got" actually reminds me of early Zombie's solo career riffs, still the lyrics seem lacking. Then of course is "super villain" starting with some electro grooves and then slaps you with the metal, also Spider kinda raps in the last verse which was one of the most enjoyable sections of the song. One great song followed by another, "V is for vampire" is most certainly one of my favorites from this album, probably my second favorite. I can't help but think that maybe PM5K was trying to cash in on the latest vampire craze thing. "Do your thing" was kinda' meah, very uppedy. Basic message is "don't listen to what they say about you, just be your self." "Somewhere on the other side of nowhere" really brings me back to the sci-fi hay day of PM5K. It sounds allmost like "the future that never was," it's very slow and calming. "Time bomb, baby" has a lot of energy in it, not the best but still a good song. "Get your bones" starts out with techno funk and goes into eerie organs, i assume that it has something to do with zombies and aliens. This ranks probably as my third favorite song on the album. Next is "make us insane" which is alot like "time bomb, baby" lots of energy but not my favorite, still good though. "Technology eats its young" great title but when it boils down to it, it's esentially just electronic white noise and another sound clip at the end. "Horror show" ranks as my number 1 favorite track on this album. Heavy, good lyrics, and Spider rapping. The chorus can get annoying, but the return to Spider's old styled spitting burries any problems with this song. All in all this is a pretty dope album and blows the past two PM5K albums out of the water. I still miss the old members though, they brought something that just can't be found any more. What ever happened to Tempesta?
