I've watched this version of Pride & Prejudice innumerous times, and the music really grew on me. So much so that I sought out and bought the soundtrack. I absolutely love it! The songs really bring me back to certain moments in the film, and I love playing the CD when I'm at leisure at home. I recently viewed this movie at a local theater and was so impressed with the movie that I ordered it from Amazon and waited with great anticipation for the delivery to my home. I think Elisabeth Vincentelli is off her rocker, or maybe I've misunderstood her review above. It's wonderful music, very relaxing (with maybe the exception of the militia marches in). I was hesitant at first when buying this soundtrack, but I gave in. And I am glad I did. It is a very soothing collection. The scores are wonderfully composed and it fits the atmosphere of the movie wonderfully. If you are looking for relaxing music, this is the soundtrack for you. I find the CD soothing after a hard days work.
