amazon tells me to be detailed and specific. how can anyone be specific about such beautiful music which conveys more than the broad emotional spectrum of the characters, the situations and places they are in? i find some of the tracks, like "Liz on top of the world" and "the secret life of daydreams", simply divine. they completely exceed the general outline of the film/novel, and become stand-alone music for something greater. one of the best scores ever written for a movie and my personal favorite to accompany my daydreaming. charming to listen to, never boring and goes lovely with a walk in the woods.Free Music Review: Absolutely Sumptuous

Dario Marianelli's score is sumptuous. I've seen the film 16 times, and counting. My favorite is the Meryton Townhall, then Leaving Netherfield, and also, track 17: Credits. Many people leave the movie theatre during the credits and miss this beautiful piece. I have a solid two-hour heavy traffic commute to work every day. I used to listen to traffic reports, news, and C-span. By the time I got to the office, I was a nervous wreck. Now I listen to this score and I forget that I'm stuck in traffic. I get to work relaxed and cheerful. This score is nominated for an Oscar, and I really hope it wins.Free Music Review: Magnificent! Composition, orchestra, recording, all the finest.

This is by far one of the best scores you will hear from a film. That Hollywood gave the Oscar to the mediocre score from BB Mountain is ludicrous ["there was a boy who liked another boy", guitar: bling bling. Wow, wasn't that terrific]. Hollywood itself is ludicrous. There is nothing in decades that can compare to the work that Marianelli did in this film. He is a great artist and the Academy is laden with the flakiest of flakes.
They ignored Marianelli in order to make a token award. They did it in 2010 in the supporting category. Get outta here. Hollywood you are garbage.

Pride and Prejudice is a great movie! I mean, it's romantic, the acting is great, and...it's just perfect! If you haven't seen this movie, then you'd better get to the theaters to see it.
The soundtrack is great too. The piano is beautiful and when you listen to it, you get just as excited as you were when you were watching the film! Even though I bought it at Tower for $19.00, which is a little expensive, it was definetely worth it! I only bought it yesterday and I've already listened to it two times through. Buy it now!

If You've seen the Movie "Pride & Prejudice ", like me, you were probibly struck by the breathtaking music pieces in this film. Haunting melodies that seem to have thier own drama within them. After viewing the movie and hearing the music I knew that this soundtrack could easily stand on it's own merit so I purchased it! It is wonderful. I have listened to this CD frequently and with the exception of a couple of boisterous tracks, is very soothing. It is also interesting enough to not be fatigueing to listen to for several runs. A great product if you enjoy light classical music.
