Free Music Notes for Pride & Prejudice

Free Music Review: One of the best soundtracks
Hit: 5 Stars

I was completely captivated with this soundtrack. The piano music was superb and dance numbers utterly delightful. Each time I listen and close my eyes I feel completely transported. With all due respect to the editorial review...I must ardently disagree with the description "monochromatic beige." It might seem that way if your sensibilities tend toward the overstimulation of the senses but there is such beauty found in the simplest melodies ("Dawn") and soaring polyphonies. I could not ask for anything better.

Free Music Review: wonderful soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

I simply love this soundtrack. It is the most romantic music to the most romantic scene in a touching film. The emotion and sensibility is probable!
Dawn, A postcard to Henry Purcell,Liz on top the world, Leaving Netherfield,Darcy's Letter,Your hands are cold and Mrs.Darcy are my favorite songs!
Beautiful moving inspiring beautiful classical music performed by an excellent pianist.
I love this music. It's really reflects the feelings in the movie, which by the way is my favorite movie ,performed by my favorite actor Matthew Macfadyen.

Free Music Review: Love the movie & love the music!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I've watched this version of Pride & Prejudice innumerous times, and the music really grew on me. So much so that I sought out and bought the soundtrack. I absolutely love it! The songs really bring me back to certain moments in the film, and I love playing the CD when I'm at leisure at home. The CD is definitely worth a purchase if you love the music in the film!

Free Music Review: Beautiful and stirring, a fitting album to remember the film by...
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't buy many soundtracks, but I loved the film and its music so much I just had to have this one. The melodies and arrangements are soul-stirring and will take you back to the glorious English countryside where the best scenes took place. For me, breathtaking moments occurred in A Postcard to Henry Purcell, Liz on Top of the World, and Your Hands Are Cold.
As this is a soundtrack, several musical themes do reoccur, but they are wonderfully woven in with the orchestration such that they never seem repetitive or dull. The Military Marches In, Meryton Townhall and Another Dance lighten the mood periodically, before Marianelli pulls you back to nostalgia and romanticism, which I would consider the main feel of this soundtrack. I find it great listening, especially for quiet evenings in.

Free Music Review: Simply beautiful
Hit: 5 Stars

This soundtrack is charming, intelligent, energetic, and reminds me of the film (which I love). A single, simple piano song winds it's way though the movie. Sometimes played beautifully, sometimes not, sometimes grandly, sometimes quietly. My favorite scene in the movie is Kiera standing on a cliff with her eyes closed, just experiencing the breeze and the glory of nature. The song that plays during that scene (titled Liz on top of the world) is just brilliant. I can't imagine a nicer thing than a bubble bath, a glass of pinot, and this soundtrack soothing my jangled nerves.
