Free Music Notes for Pride and Prejudice: The Original Soundtrack from the A&E Special PresentationFree Music Review: Pleasant, but somewhat lacking. Hit: 3 StarsThis is a pleasant soundtrack, but I was very disappointed in the "dance montage". I was expecting to hear all of the dance music, including (especially) the tune that Darcy and Miss Bennet danced to. However, that particular track was less than a minute of okay music. It wasn't my favorite. If I want to hear all the dance music, I guess I can watch the DVD.
Free Music Review: A great sound-track to a great mini-series. Hit: 5 StarsMy wife and I are huge fans of the mini-series and watch it as often as we can. The music of any feature is a true testimony to the feature and the feelings that are brought about from the feature. The sound-track is every song a true fan would enjoy and has some very nice classical compositions that would match the time era and status of those who are involved. It is very relaxing and easy listening. I encourage anyone who enjoyed the film as much as we did to buy the sound-track and listen to the music of one of the greatest mini-series.
Free Music Review: Excellent music but missing a few treasures Hit: 4 StarsAlthough the score for Pride and Prejudice was fantastic, there were even more songs that I wish had been included on this disc"
My favorite part was Lizzy playing the piano at Pemberly: Voi Che Sapete from the Marriage of Figaro. I also loved the Netherfield Ball dances with Mr. collins and Mr. Darcy: The Shrewsbury Lasses and Mr. Beveridge's Maggot. (these are very difficult to find anwhere and I especially loved the arrangement in the movie. I would have loved to have a recording of these). Grimstock played by Mary at the Phillips Christmas Party is also a favorite. Also, Andante Favore by Beethoven played by Georgiana at Pemberly. Fortunatly, these are easily found on popular online music sites.
Free Music Review: ambiance Hit: 5 Starsc'est un pur plaisir de revivre cette s?rie que j'adore en ?coutant la bande son. une ambiance "austenante" !
Free Music Review: The perfect music for Jane Austen's TV adaptation Hit: 5 StarsI was very happy to receive this CD which is not sold in France. When I listen to the music, I can imagine the exact moment it corresponds in the film. I like very much the opening title music
Carl Davis's Music is excellent and permit to translate the sense of a small town at this period and the fortepiano produces a unique and fascinating sound, quite different from that oh the modern instrument.
This CD is a good choice for the fans of the series.
