Prince was far ahead of his time when he released this gem in 1982. I remember being in high-school and becoming thoroughly engrossed in the purple haze. Here we see the best Prince had to offer with "Little Red Corvette", "Delirious", and the title track "1999" The 2 best tracks that went un-noticed were "Automatic" and "Lady Cab Driver" This was his prime which climaxed with the "Purple Rain" soundtrack. If you have never listened to this one all the way through, go buy it, crank it, and get rude! Your neighbors will wonder what's up and you'll be better off as a human being. (musically speaking, of course) Enjoy the best of the best.
