POWER TO THE PEOPLE AND THE BEATS serves as an excellent introduction to this infamous politically-charged hip hop crew. All the classics are here including the biting "Don't Believe The Hype", and "Fight The Power" from the Spike Lee film "Do The Right Thing". Although this compilation is no substitute for such classic Public Enemy albums as "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back", "Fear of a Black Planet" and "The Empire Strikes Black", this compilation is still worth owning due to remastered sound and interesting liner notes.
