Free Music Notes for Different ClassFree Music Review: Spectaculiar stuff from England Hit: 5 Stars
Different Class, as it is aptly named, is indeed in a different class as far as albums go. Right from the start this record captures you and doesn't let you go until Jarvis Cocker utters the last lyric. "Common People", a song about a rich girl slumming with the lower class, shines as the core track on the album. Other songs are equally strong. "Sorted Out for E's and Wizz", describes the experience of a 1989 rave "somewhere in a field in Hampshire." Jarvis Cocker bring his song characters alive with witty lyrics and seductive but humorous vocals.

Free Music Review: a different class indeed... Hit: 5 Stars
this album is something that i must say is amazing. its full of intersting noises and thoughts on life. yes common people has to be the greatest working class anthem ever. jarvis cocker writes tales of british life throught the eyes of a jaded being who wants to hope so much. theres a lot to love here disco 2000 is a catchy as hell affair and of course common people will leave you rollicking. jarvis affected the squeeky sunth pop noises when he was doing earlier albums and it all comes to a head here where everything seems unique. i like this record...you better like it
Free Music Review: BEST OF THE BEST Hit: 5 Stars
I am not usually a fan of what could be termed "Brit Pop" - but since I heard "Common People" on a dancefloor 7 years ago now, i have been hooked on this album. Unfortunately, this album seems to have been Pulp's Magnum Opus because I found their previous and subsequent albums of a significantly lesser pedigree. I believe that most bands have one seminal work in which the music, lyrics and performance all comes together - this album is it. Slightly tacky, lots of fun, wicked, aggressive and highly creative - all at once. A must have.
Free Music Review: Another Pulp fan born Hit: 5 Stars
A year ago, my brother told me about a band called Pulp. He told me I would like them, so I bought their C.D. "Different Class". It sounded nothing like the type of music I like and I had thought I had wasted my money, but I kept listening and now it is one of my favorite albums. The way the song "Common People" got faster and faster and the rock/disco sound of "Disco 2000" made me enjoy the album even more. I now have three more Pulp albums. I think anyone who buys this album will enjoy it as much as I do.
