Free Music Review: Fight for your mind
Hit: 5 Stars

Some reviews to this compilation make you smile, only in America people will make a review of an album base on the sexuality of one of the members...grow up, you have such a close mind, don't like the music don't buy it but make a review of the album not on other things...Now to the review, if you want to start to listening queen then start here this is the truth compilation of queen with all the hits of there entire career. Disc one have all the hits of the 70's, of course is missing songs like tie your mother down ,stone cold crazy, brighton rock or the prophet song and keep your self alive but this aren't hits so there is no point to put them here if this is a greatest hits collection . Disc two have all the hits of the 80's and this is really a remarkable cd, such great songs like innuendo my all time favorite queen track , I want it all ...fantastic. Ok in America the only hits where under pressure, radio gaga and body language that is not in here, but these songs where true hits all over Europe, Japan and South America so there is no point if you say this are not hits. These songs prove why Queen where the band of the 80's. Disc 3 is all the hits that don't make the other albums `cause they have to many to put only in 2 discs,do you believe?
Ok there are 2 songs that are simply new collaboration the show must go on from 97 and the new mix of under pressure and the fantastic songs from Made in Heaven witch where hits all over Europe, Japan and South America like the solo songs all Hits. So there you have it why this is a greatest hits collection and not a best of , if you start somewhere start here this is the true place to begging listening Queen music then go and buy there albums you won't regret.
Good music makes always people fell better so that's what will happened to you.
Fight For Your Mind and don't let other people choose for you, if you like just have to say it.

Free Music Review: A unique rock band with something different to offer
Hit: 5 Stars

One of the most successful British rock groups of the seventies and eighties, Queen started as a quasi-glam rock group but evolved a style all their own, combining elements of pop, rock, heavy metal and a few operatic touches.
Bohemian rhapsody, their biggest hit, was twice a UK number one hit - first on its original release and second on its release to raise money for AIDS charities, following the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury due to AIDS. The song also made the American top ten twice - first on its original release and second following its use in Wayne's world, a few months after Freddie's death, when it made number two. This classic song, seven-minute mini rock opera, overshadows everything else that Queen recorded, but they made plenty of other great music.

Queen had two other UK number one hits - Under pressure (with David Bowie) and Innuendo. They also had five UK number two hits (Killer queen, Somebody to love, We are the champions, Crazy little thing called love and Radio gaga) and three UK number three hits (I want to break free, A kind of magic, I want it all) as well as some other UK top ten hits including You're my best friend, Another one bites the dust, It's a hard life and One vision.

Freddie Mercury has a great voice, many of the songs are great, the arrangements are exciting, and there is no other band like them. Apart from his music as lead singer of Queen, Freddie recorded a few other hits, also featured in this collection. These include Barcelona (a duet with Montserrat Caballe) and a great cover of the old Platters classic, The great pretender.

Queen were truly unique - it's not often you can say that about any singer or group - and this collection contains all their classic tracks.

Free Music Review: Great Collection, Disc Three is part rubbish
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a superb compilation. Even if you have all the best ofs, by QUEEN, the Booklet is a nice addition.
The remasters are not as good as what Brian May, and Roger Taylor did with other material ( The Crown Jewels), but it is mostly a good collection. Disc 3 is the exception in format; for one, they should never have included Elton John's Awful damage to a great song. And if you have ever read any of the Bios of Freddy, you will know that Freddy was a fan of Montserrat Cabelle, and the song he did with her shows just how well they worked together. And a selection of Freddy's solo material is a nice afterthought. The material from MADE IN HEAVEN is a good thought, and shows just how poignant the album it comes from is as a work. It is, as was noted by QUEEN, very touching, and appropriate, that the last videotaped material that Freddy did was the line "I Still Love You".
As an introduction, the collection is great.
If you enjoy it, I can highly recommend, THE CROWN JEWELS, and if you want a Great Version of the Album, get the THX edit of A NIGHT AT THE OPERA.
If this collection is the start of your journey as a Queen fan, then I hope you buy some of the superb material that is out there, especially the Newly done concert DVDs, and other material. QUEEN is not just another over the top band... it has produced some of the most enduring Popular music in the English Speaking world, and in it's tour time, showed it was a master of stadium rock anthems, and the use of QUEEN songs in many venues, shows just how culturally significant their work still is to the world.

Free Music Review: An absolutely brilliant CD
Hit: 5 Stars

There are CDs that are good to get up and dance to and there are CDs that are good to listen to while relaxing and very rarely do the two meet. This box set doesn't just have a mixture of dancing songs and reflective songs but almost every song on here is good for BOTH dancing and reflecting (although there are some which you'll have trouble reflecting to simply because of how powerful the urge to dance to them can be). I'm a 15 year old who is so sick of the hip hop and teeny bopper music we get shoved down our throats nowadays (even the "alternative" stuff while good is nothing exceptional bar a couple of artists such as pearl jam and powderfinger) that I've been buying a wealth of CDs from times gone by and I must say that while almost all of those old CDs I've bought have been a success this one is right up there with the best 2 or 3 of them.
Also, I must say that the people complaining about the 3rd CD are (for lack of a better word ie. one that amazon.com will allow on it's site) stupid. While not as good as the first 2 CDs the third is certainly a good CD in it's own right (one that I personally listen to more than number 2 although I do skip a number of tracks). "Too much love will kill you" is a beauty and "somebody to love" with george michael is a better version to the original. while these are certainly the best 2 on CD 3 other songs including "heaven for everyone", "living on my own" and "no one but you" are strong songs too.

Free Music Review: The best music purchase I ever made!
Hit: 5 Stars

This review might seem a little over the top, simply because Queen is my favorite band. Ever. Well, these were the first CDs I ever bought, mostly because I liked the songs "We Will Rock You/ We Are The Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" was cool. Also, I got this one instead of the 2 disk set, not because the third disk was anything worth even listening to, but it was on sale for a couple bucks cheaper than the other one.
First of all, from the first time I heard it, I thought that Disk 1 was phenominal. Now that I'm collecting the records, I realize that it is missing some hits, such as, one of my favorites, "I'm In Love With My Car", but as far as just the music goes, it's almost perfect.
I wasn't really interested in Disc 2 when I first got it. The only song I loved was "Under Pressure". However, listing back to it, I have come to like it a lot more now. The song "I Want It All" has a sweet riff in the intro. I only wish Brian May had more guitar parts like that one.
And now Disk 3... this one is extremly awkward. It mostly consists of live tracks and remixes, all of which are not very good. The rest of them are ballads, with the exception of "Princes Of The Universe", which is a stupid song except for May's solo.
Over all, this is a great collection. Still, I would endorse buying the 2 disk set instead, unless you get lucky like I did with the sale.
