Free Music Notes for Greatest Hits I, II & III - The Platinum Collection (3CD)Free Music Review: Queen is rarely matched Hit: 5 Stars
It is hard to overestimate the talent that all four members of Queen brought to create this definitive collection of songs. Queen is great, not just good, in part because everyone in the band contributed his own personal talent to the collective whole. Freddie Mercury was just the most obvious member because of his amazing vocals, but you would not have Queen without Brian May's distinctive guitar work, John Deacon's innovative bass (think "Another One Bites the Dust" or "Under Pressure") and Roger Taylor's signature drum work. All four of them wrote great songs for the band and three of them could sing very well (Deacon chose to just play his instruments). This three disc set is a must have for any Queen fan. Buy it!

Free Music Review: All of this Queen music for less than $20? great deal! Hit: 5 Stars
Queen fans will discuss forever whether songs should have been included (or removed) from this anthology. But let's cut to the chase: at current prices, this is as good an anthology of Queen hits as you can get. I am buying a few for my friends who are already casual Queen fans and perhaps this will take them to the next level ;-)
My favorites: BoRap (duh!), Under Pressure, the colossal Kashmir + flamenco + Queen bravado of "Innuendo", 'Crazy Little thing"- the best '50s rock song ever recorded, the primal hard rock anthem "We Will Rock You"... and there's so much more. Those guys rocked or what?!
Go go little Queenie!
Free Music Review: GREAT collection of Queen Favorites Hit: 5 Stars
(...)Disc 1 and Disc 2 of this box set are the great songs, disc 3 is not that good. But the price is totally worth it just for those first two! Queen is the classic rock band that will have to go down as one of the all-time greats. Even if there had never been "Bohemian Rhapsody", there are SO many other great tunes these guys created as well. Freddie Mercury had freakishly bad buck teeth and was a gay guy who died of Aids, but he was a golden individual in about a million different ways, and nothing can take away anything from the glory of this band. Their best songs are eternal.David Rehak (...)
Free Music Review: Greatest Hits, but not Greatest Songs Hit: 5 Stars
It makes me a little mad when people judge Queen by the few songs that are on american radio. I think it's great they've sold so many Greatest Hits albums, but there are so many more great Rock songs from Queen. If you're into a more hard rock/progressive rock/classic rock sound, I recommend you buy the first 3 Queen albums, 'Queen', 'Queen II' & 'Sheer Heart Attack', instead of the 3 Greatest Hits albums as a first album. Queen's early sound shows why so many of the more modern rock bands like Queen (i.e. Metallica, Foo Fighters, etc)
