Free Music Review: Don't sit on the fence; buy this album!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I had never bought a Queen album before. I didn't know anything much about the band except for their hits and I had heard quite a bit about the enigmatic Freddie Mercury. Well I've been trying to branch out a bit lately so I just randomly bought a bunch of Queen albums last week. The first one that I listened to was "A Night At The Opera". Very good album. I liked it a lot. Then I put "Innuendo" in. It blew me away right away. Wow. I own a lot of albums. I have a CD collection of about 200, and I don't have very many bad albums in my collection at all. So this means a lot when I say this: I already consider this to be one of the best albums I own. When I learned that this was released the same year Freddie died, it made it even more powerful. I mean here you have this guy who's near his death bed giving one of the greatest rock performances ever.

Some people have said that this is a dark album. I find it to be very uplifting! A few of the songs are really reflective, but the overall feel of the album is something like, "Don't let it get to you!" The only song I don't like very much is "The Hitman". The rest are just crazy good. I see one reviewer doesn't like Delilah. Well I think that's one of the strongest songs on the album. Go figure. The vocals on it are hot! It's a love song about his cat. I read that Freddie lived alone with lots of pets. He loved his cat. Really touching if you ask me that he could find the love in a simple animal. You really get the feeling that he was making the most of his life.

I just love this album so much. If you consider yourself even a mild rock fan, you have to buy this.

Free Music Review: Queen's Finest Hour
Hit: 5 Stars

If you know the story of Queen then you'd know that this album, released in 1991, was the last one released while lead singer Freddie Mercury was alive. Sentimentality reasons make this the greatest Queen album for me, and the tracks back it up as well

Innuendo - Great opener. much different style for Queen. 10/10

I'm Going Slightly Mad - fun lyrics. Video is also fun. 10/10

Headlong - nice rocker featuring great guitar work. 9/10

I Can't Live With You - another nice up-tempo rocker. 9/10

Don't Try So Hard - very moving song with great lyrics. 10/10

Ride The Wild Wind - close your eyes and listen to this and you can picture yourself in the song. great song. 9/10

All God's People - many fans don't like this song but I think it's a nice change of pace with some good lyrics. 9/10

These Are The Days Of Our Lives - extremely moving song. if you watch the video it may bring a tear to your eye. 10/10

Delilah - again, many fans don't like this song but I think it's fun and brings some color to the otherwise somber album. 9/10

The Hitman - one of Queen best rock songs ever. 10/10

Bijou - great guitar, not a lot of lyrics but song is great to listen to. 10/10

The Show Must Go On - another moving song that'll bring tears to your eyes. Lyrics are haunting and very emotional. 10/10

this album is definitely a masterpiece and should be in the home of every music fan no matter what genre of music you like. Overall rating: 115/120. Incredible album by the greatest band ever

Free Music Review: A music legend bids farewell
Hit: 5 Stars

Innuendo is a special album. Most people will agree that although Queens 1980s work produced some great songs, it was largely inferior to their 1970s output.

Fortunately Queen managed to wrap things up with Innuendo, an album with an almost magical quality about it. Almost everything that made me love mid 70s Queen is back again. The overblown theatrics, the heavy, flat out rockers, the slight ballads. Even the album cover wouldn't look out of place on a 70s Queen album.

Perhaps most poignantly though, this is an album made by a band who know that one of their members is dying. Some parts of the album are very obviously Freddie Mercury reminiscing on life. Don't Try So Hard, All God's People, Days Of Our Lives and The Show Must Go On are all songs that in all honestly I can't listen to lightly, as they are almost harrowingly beautiful. But Freddie was never without a sense of humour and I'm Going Slightly Mad is wonderfully goofy, something akin to Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon from A Night At The Opera. And no Queen album would be complete without the Brian May metal, here displayed by Hitman.

There is a small problem. Delilah is a cute little song, but I wouldn't want to listen to it more than once.

Overall an eclectic album with some great music on it. It will rock you (as Queen so famously promised) it will raise a smile (albeit a metaphorical one-probably) but above all it will, I hope, move you. It's not an album to play at any old time though. It's an involving album that has a lot of emotion behind it.

Free Music Review: One of the best albums ever made by Queen!
Hit: 5 Stars

This, along with News of the World would have to be their best. Their albums in the 1980's were just ok, and this made up for it.

It's has some descent rockers on here with catchy lyrics and even the church-goer song "All God's People" was performed brillantly! I use to hate it, but it's grown on me! The cat song is a bit camp, but at least he is talking about something different for a change! Try Love Cats, by The Cure, I think it's better.

It's a little on the sad side, you get the feeling you know he's going to die soon! But the emotions he brings on the album are just unbeatable! Check out The Show Must Go On -- the notes he hits at the end along with the guitar solo really expresses his feelings and may very well be about near the end of his life and how it's unfair how we have to die so young.

The title track is good. Nice and long, slightly progy!

I wish they left this album at that, because Made In Heaven was pretty awful! I hate saying that! Because I love Freddie, Roger, Brian and John and I have the upmost respect for them. But these songs... it sounds like Whitney Houston or Bette Midler -- not Queen! I don't know. Every artists has it's lemon album!

This is Queen at one of their best points! It would have been cool to see these songs been performed live! It's a shame he last toured in 1986! Only small venues after that, but I am proud of their achievements!

May Freddie Rest In Peace! God bless him!

It's one of those albums where all kinds of people can enjoy!

Free Music Review: WWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Oh my gosh, I just bought this CD today and finished listening to it. It is absolutely unbelievable, incredible, I don't know how to put it to words. "Innuendo" (the song) is among their finest, sort of a "sister" to Bohemian Rhapsody. The guitar interlude, AWESOME! The songs range from hard-rocking ("Headlong," "The Hitman") to humorous ("I'm Going Slightly Mad," "Delilah") to beautiful ("Innuendo," "Don't Try So Hard") to tunes that are very personal, emotional, and may draw a tear ("These Are the Days of Our Lives," "The Show Must Go On"). "The Show Must Go On" is probably the one song that really does it for me, Freddie is singing exactly what he was feeling during the INNUENDO sessions, he wanted to make as much music as he could before he died. Also at the end of the song, the words "go on, go on" echo and fade out, almost as if Freddie died while singing this. There is no better way to go out than with "The Show Must Go On." He was probably thinking "must continue, must continue." Not only did he continue, but some of his best vocal work, and some of the best vocal work ever, is on this album. I am proud of Freddie for his achievements at such a rough time in his life. This is probably the best Queen album, tied with CLASSIC QUEEN. Worry not, Freddie, the show will go on, go on, go on...
