Free Music Notes for Made in HeavenFree Music Review: A Excellent send off Hit: 5 Stars
I really think it is a shame that Freddie had to die, because I think they(Queen) had a lot of great songs still left to put out. A good stand out on the Disc is "let me live" and "made in heaven". As I write this I am listening to the cd . "mother love" is also a great song as well. All in all a great add on to queen's collection regardless to what anyone else says. My first "album"(theme from Flash Gordon&Hero) was a queen album at age 6 so I am a little biased.Regardless of what I am in the mood to listen to Queen WILL always be in my collection.
Free Music Review: For hardcore Queen fans and those that never liked them. Hit: 5 Stars
My recurring thought when listening to this CD is that Freddie Mercury died far to young, as he obviously had much more to give the music world. This is the best album that Queen has produced. I have listened to this CD every week since buying it in 1996, something that I can say for very few others. There are no weak tracks, and my favorite song seems to change on a regular basis. "Too Much Love Will Kill You" and "Let Me Live" are Mercury at his best. This last effort rivals any of the Greatest Hits compilations, and will go down on my list of all time favorites.
Free Music Review: Achingly poignant Hit: 5 Stars
Obviously, any work made with Freddie Mercury's singing released posthumously will have a certain amount of wistfulness, but Mercury sung his tracks knowing he was dying. He would call in the middle of the night when he felt like singing. The aching poignancy is added by the selected and nature of the songs, especially those like "It's A Beautiful Day", "Made In Heaven", "Too Much Love Can Kill You" and especially "A Winter's Tale". Even if you're not a Queen fan, this is a must-own - and arguably Queen's best album, even surpassing A Night At The Opera and News of the World, among others.
Free Music Review: Queen at their best. Hit: 5 Stars
I grew up with Queen and always enjoyed their classic hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody but this album is best appreciated by lovers of Queen. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it and have never tired of the album over the past few years. It is a classic. Freddie is superbe despite his ailing health at recording. There is emotion in his voice. The songs range from energetic ( You dont' Fool Me)to melancholic (A Winter's Tale). Queen has not lost their harmony. I regret that there will be no more Queen music. I treasure this one. Highly recommended.
Free Music Review: Heavenly! Hit: 5 Stars
Made in heaven is an album that hits you in the heart!...I'm not sure how an average rock fan would like this album, but if your a true queen fan you'll probably love it. A very melodic rock album has freddies last vocal take on "mother love" and last song freddie ever wrote "a winter's tale" mixed in with some older completed songs like heaven for everyone and too much love will kill you. My favorite is probably "a winter's tale" a nice little reflective peom written by freddie. "Meanwhile let me live" is a great song with a gospel chorus. MIH has aged well!
