Free Music Notes for Made in HeavenFree Music Review: A Good Way To Go Out Hit: 5 Stars
Before Freddie's death in 1991 He Still continued to make music and he didn't lower the bar at all for this last album made 4 years later. Let Me Live is one of Queen's best songs ever. The title track, Made In Heaven, is also very good. Some of the tracks they remade, like I Was Born To Love You, were remade very solidly. Too Much love will kill you is good, but personally I like Brian's version better. Finally, The Untitled track is over 22 minutes long but is very interesting and is more of an easy listening song. Definetly a good competitor with Innuendo
Free Music Review: Good Music! Hit: 5 Stars
Is this vintage Queen?....The answer is no, but it doesn't have to be vintage to be great. MIH is mainly soft rock songs mixed with some pop elements. I like every song on this album, and you can't even say that about some of Queens best efforts, It's very consistent from beginning to end. My favorites are "made in heaven" The last vocal performance from freddie "mother love" roger talyors sublime "heaven for everyone" and freddie's last written song "a winter tale" is simply one of my favorite songs ever, very moving. It truly is good music.
Free Music Review: So Sad it Ends Hit: 5 Stars
This is the last album put together by the remaining members of Queen after Freddie's death. It amazes me even today that despite all of the pain and anguish that Freddie must have felt during the recording of these tracks, he still managed to give the greatest performances of his life. "Heaven for Everyone" is far by the best song on the album, although I love the choir background in "Let Me Live." All in all, a beautiful final tribute to the memory of one of the greatest singers in rock history. I love it.
Free Music Review: Most poppish Hit: 5 Stars
Made In Heaven Queens last album is also thier most poppish. Theres very few aggressive songs here instead the album consists mainly of sweeping etherial ballads with keyboard florishes highlighted by Freddie Mercurys operatic vocals and general return to the piano after many Queen albums closing out with the longest Queen Instumental A Beutifull Day Reprise running some 21 minutes. The albums quite excellent. Queen ended thier career well nad intrestingly by making an album that was the exact opposite of thier hard rocking debut.
Free Music Review: THIS ALBUM GROWS ON YOU, BIG TIME! Hit: 5 Stars
AT FIRST I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS ALBUM, BECAUSE THE MORBIDITY OF THE WHOLE AFFAIR WAS ALMOST SUFFOCATING. BUT GRADUALLY, THE ALBUM SEEPS INTO YOUR PSYCHE LIKE CAMPHOR TO THE SKIN. I NOW LOVE IT, AND ALMOST ALWAYS PLAY IT STRAIGHT THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPPING A TRACK. THIS IS SOME OF THE MOST SERENE MUSIC EVER MADE BY A ROCK BAND.AND HEY GUYS, I LOVE TRACK 13! I THINK IT EMBODIES FREDDIES NOW DEPARTED SPIRIT, BUT WHAT DO I KNOW? A VERY APPROPRIATE SEND-OFF TO ROCKS' GREATEST FRONTMAN. WE MISS HIM.
