Free Music Notes for Queen: Greatest Hits I & IIFree Music Review: All the Queen You Need Hit: 5 Stars
The 1991 death of Freddie Mercury and the inclusion of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the film "Wayne's World" ignited a renewed interest in Queen. Known for their over-the-top arrangements and Mercury's undeniable stage presence, Queen was one of the most popular international acts ever. "Queen Greatest Hits 1&2" is the definitive collection of the group's material. These guys dabbled with rock ("We Will Rock You"), pretentious pop ("Bohemian Rhapsody"), Chic-inspired r&b ("Another One Bites the Dust"), compelling, sap-free love songs ("You're My Best Friend"), rockabilly ("Crazy Little Things Called Love"), and even synth pop ("Radio Ga Ga"). Few groups could claim a body of work so varied as Queen, and all the hits are compiled on these two discs. Other favorites of mine are "I Want to Break Free," the soaring, tear-jerking "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "The Show Must Go On," which had to be written as a hint of Mercury's eventual passing. My only gripe is that this set excludes the synth-heavy "Body Language," which I personally liked. Queen isn't one of my all-time favorite groups, but only a fool would deny their indelible mark on pop music.
Free Music Review: Two of the best CD's ever in one Hit: 5 Stars
These are not just two greatest hit's to make money they are both proper greatest hit's and both are a must, especally as they both have there own unique sounds and here is my individual review for each album.
Greatest Hits 1
The Greatest Greatest Hits of all time. All the songs are brilliant / legionary. It's a must have album in any collection you won't be disappointed in any song and is still enjoyable now a days. The music last for ever and all the songs are brilliant. It's all well written, produced and performed. Rock at it's best
Greatest Hits 2
Just as good as Greatest Hits I but different. I prefer Greatest Hits I but it's still brilliant and probably one of the only groups who could do two Greatest Hits of this high standard. Even if you don't know the names of the songs, you will know them when you listen to it and if you still don't reconise them you will be humming, singing, jumping around or tapping your feet along, because they are all brilliant songs. I must have in any collection

Free Music Review: 'Essential recording' is right! Hit: 5 Stars
It's hard to imagine a set more appropriately deserving that moniker than this one. Jam-packed with all of Queen's big hits and many that should have been big hits, this set is indeed worth its weight in gold (get it?). We all know the big hits of the Queen catalogue, but what is really great about this set are the many great songs that never get any exposure such as "Who Wants To Live Forever" (one of their most powerful tunes ever), "The Show Must Go On" (with all of the arena rock bombast you've come to expect from this band), the awesome rocker "Innuendo" from the album of the same title (listen to that flamenco-style playing!), and "Headlong", another great rocker. The rest is, as they say, history. I have never regretted purchasing this set. I see that there is a new 'platinum box set' containing all of this material and a third disc. This is the better deal considering that the third disc is mainly leftovers and bizarre remixes.Essential.
Free Music Review: Rediscover this historic band Hit: 5 Stars
I had been a casual Queen fan most of my life - well, ever since Wayne's World made Bohemian Rhapsody a hit. At the time, I got myself a copy of "A Night At The Opera," and have enjoyed it in the years since. (In fact, I recommend it as a companion to this greatest hits collection.)
But recently I was at an Aqualung concert, and to end the show Matt covered "Somebody to Love." It was so awesome, that it got me thinking about Queen again, and really craving their music. Which brings me to this collection. I was familiar with about half the songs here, which was great. But what I'm most happy about is all the new Queen music it has introduced me to (such as "Radio Ga Ga" and "The Show Must Go On").
I can't say whether it's an accurate "greatest hits" anthology, but I can say that there are a ton of awesome songs here. If you're a casual fan like me, then this collection will lead you into die-hard fan land. And it's guaranteed to blow your mind. :)
