Free Music Notes for Era VulgarisFree Music Review: Different style but still awesome Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is awesome, as are all QOTSA cds, but definitely different. I can't believe it is getting bad reviews because it is a different style, just give it a chance, it takes a few listens to get used to it, but it gets better with each listen. People apparently just wanted this cd to sound exactly like earlier QOTSA releases, but that's one thing I love about QOTSA, is the fact that all the CDs sound different.
So just give it a chance, listen to it more than one time before you decide you hate it. I love this CD, and if you're a QOTSA fan, you probably will too.
Free Music Review: It's the guitariest! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not surprised at all the negative reviews here, because this album is different, which scares people. It rocks, it sputters, it lurches. It's hard. It sounds broken and industrial. The guitars are insane, all over the place. Even Josh Homme's vocals are different than anything he's ever done before.
So if you want to hear Songs for the Deaf Part II, don't buy this album. If you want to hear an album that's fresh and exciting and exactly what rock and roll should sound like in 2008, then pony up for this masterpiece. Best QOTSA album ever.
Free Music Review: Holy Spear of Destiny Batman. Hit: 5 Stars
Crap on a crap cracker, this album just gets better and better when I listen to it. If this is the direction the Queens are taking themselves musically; then damn. This is what rock should sound like. From the robotic repetitiveness of the guitar riffs, to the face melting buttery smoothness of the solo's. The keyboard, drums, bass; everything is just clicking. Era Vulgaris is definitely one of my favorite albums. In my opinion this album solidifies that Queens of the Stone Age are sitting way up on the rock pedestal along with Floyd, Zep, and the Doors.
Free Music Review: Another Great from the Queens! Hit: 5 Stars
This album really has some awesome tracks from start to finish. The beginnging of turning on the screw is great. I wish they would of put the track 'era vulgaris' on here but I got it through my own methods. And I got to say that adds alot to this album as well. Personally, I got this home and ripped it and put it on my MP3CD with all of the other queens albums I've bought (meaning all of them) And the album blends in great with the rest of the albums on repeat.
THAT'S HOW I ROLL!
GREAT ALBUM!

Free Music Review: Always good albums all the time. Hit: 5 Stars
This will grow on those who need watering. Innovative, quirky, dirty, punky, different yet the same as previous albums and heard in a strip club in my town last night. I can see where some of you are coming from though, Songs for the Deaf took a little adjustment for me as it was a transitional album for this great band. All prior albums and those to come will be classic regardless of lineup because Homme captains this ship. For those who don't know they will be opening for the reformed RATM(strange but true).
