Before Grunge took over most of the 'metal sound' Ryche released this CD which boosted them from a flat foundation to a sky-is-the-limit platform. It's an outstanding representation of their music when it was hard and tight. Their image scored points, their tour was awesome, this earned them their "Thinking man's band" reputation due to the complexity of the lyrics and hair raising quality of Tate's vocals. Tribute band often try to replicate the guitar riffs from this CD. Worth every hard earned dollar (and cent).Free Music Review: Rockers and Musicians Alike

If you are familiar with Queensryche this is a no brainer - buy this, it is as it was.
If you are unfamiliar with Queensryche the band is for rockers and musicians alike. It is more of a musicians band, in my opinion as the members are a talented crew. Kind of, not exaclty like, Rush, Yes, or Triumph with Niche like followings yet still appreciated by fans of Metallica, Maiden, and the like.
This is a real journey - give it a go. Something unique to be heard, stright from track one.
Free Music Review: Awesome re-mastering job

It is amazing what 24-bit re-mastering has done to this album. It feels incredibly fresh now just as it was back then. Great production, a little bit too radio-friendly but that doesn't take away from the beauty of the record. Prog-metal at its best, for sure. The bonus tracks are not the greatest, but the original 11 tracks has definitely come alive in an incredible way. Don't hesitate and pick this one up - yes, it IS worth it if you already own the original copy. You'll thank me later.

Free Music Review: QUEENSRYCHE........ANYBODY LISTENING?

Queensryche USED to be the best band in the world, and I sadly have to say that this is their last record that is entirly awesome with no flaw. Dont get me wrong Promised Land is alright. But Empire is a record you just cant get enough of and the highlights are Best I Can, Jet City Women, and Empire, but of course there are many more on this album. This is a must have for you Queensryche fans [who have a really good taste in music]. This is just a MUST HAVE!!!!Free Music Review: STILL LOVE THIS ONE!

I had the cassette tape year ago and played it all the time.
For some reason, I started singing "Silent Lucidity" at work out of the blue and HAD to get this again! I remembered that I loved the whole album aka cd and still do!
They sure know how to come up w/great tunes!
If you don't know the tracks...listen to the samples and start with silent lucidity and see what I mean by the greatness of the tune!
This is a must have!
