Free Music Review: OM II Really Rocks!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a die hard Ryche fan for 22 years and can be very critical about the music...This CD rocks..I admit at first listen it pales to the original OM, but give it a shot..it really does pack a punch....read the lyrics, follow along, it works....After seeing them perform it live it really is a must have..For all that love 80-90's metal should RUN out and get it...how many bands from that time have survived and not changed the undercurrent of the band. Geoff sounds awesome....the screaming ended after The Warning....but the voice is crisp and spot on!!! There are many tracks that Rock....I love "I'm American" so much power!! The biggest problem I have with the CD, is that it is toooooo short...I did not want it to end...It is like most Ryche cd's one listen is not enough, you need to dig deep and be as smart as the band to really get it!!!! MindCRime I &II Rock!!! Ryche-n-Roll Forever!!!

I was not too wild about this release on first listen exept hands!!!
I listened to it in my vehicle and thought the production killed it. It sounded muffeled.
I brought it in and put it on my home stereo and turned the surround knob up and it brought out all the sounds that were surpressed in my vcehicle.
This is awesome!!!I love it!!!!!
I tried putting the original in and found myself bored and wanting to hear the new album.
This is awesome as soon as you quit listning for the original!!!
I love this but I can understand all the nay sayers because I was one at first.
I just wonder if without that surround knob will everything sound muffled.
With it all the sounds I was straining too hear are right there.
Its the only album since empire that I can proudly call Music Review: The mighty ryche has returned witha vengeance!
Hit: 5 Stars Picked up the album early Friday night, lit me some candles and just spaced out to it blastin thru my good stereo. All i can say is WOW its awesome! I dunno why but the Cd sounds way better than the mp3s that got leaked. This albums just everything I been askin for, guitar solos, intriguing well written lyrics, great concept, insane solos, pamela moore, DIO!, and Geoff Tate screaming his head off with more passion than he's had in years. When they took this endeavor on it was make it or break it and i have to say they succeeded. I'm sure they'll get bashed nonstop as they have been for years but thats the way it is. People are just ignorant and wouldn't be happy with anything. This may not be Mindcrime I but who wanted a copycat album. This is that matured, with more depth and variation of style. Instant classic for me.
The ryche has returned! All hail!

Free Music Review: BRILLIANT..but then, what did you expect?
Hit: 5 Stars

Having had OM 2 for a few months..it took about 3-4 spins before finally "getting" it...and now? Can't get it out of my cd/mp3 player.

Not too clear on some storylines...but that's to be expected wiht a concept album.

I'm in the minority in loving HEAR IN THE NOW FRONTIER and Geoff Tate's solo cd...and basically like all the cds since...but this one is in the tunage that Geoff likes to sing against and it shows.

This one is for the fans because a lot of us (not myslef though) asked for a sequel...and the fans are buying it at a good 40,000-50,000 sales rate for the first week...hope it makes the top 10 and takes off.

And the concert with QR playing both OMs is gonna kick butt.

Buy it...live with it for a few weeks and you too will SPEAK THE WORD.

Free Music Review: Refreshing
Hit: 5 Stars

Like many reviewers my first thought was "what did they do to mindcrime", "this can't be the sequel I have been waiting 18 years for". So I put it down and started listening to my old Ryche materials like Rage for Order, and The Warning. Before OM2's release I listened to OM for nearly two weeks and my expectations were much different than what was being released.

However after a few weeks of not listening to any mindcrime at all I dropped this CD back in and immediatly fell in love with it. The only thing I don't like about OM2 is the inclusion of Dio, but that is by personal taste. I did not like Dio in the 80's and I don't like him now.

To the naysayers put this down for a few days and then listen again.

Simply put this is the best $13 I spent this year.
