I absolutely adore the popular television series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". It is the only 'reality' program on television that I can enjoy watching. Having lived with mostly gay men in my college days, Carson and co. reminds me of some of my roommates with their quirky, if not flamboyant mannerisms. While watching the popular show, I couldn't help but get addicted to the music used in the show like the opening song by Widelife "All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)" and the Fischerspooner vs. Billy Squier remix "Everybody Wants You to Emerge" (heard in the episode with headbanger Rick Sutton as the straight guy. So I bought this cd recently so now I can listen to the music I love from the show anytime I want to. Although 85% of the songs are club songs, there were a few rock-orientated songs which worked somewhat. I only liked the Liz Phair and OK Go tracks. They did sound somewhat out of place on a cd filled with club-friendly tracks but still I enjoyed "Extraordinary" and "You're So Damn Hot" nonetheless. I wasn't really impressed by the songs by Prophet Omega or the Sting song "Never Coming Home" (Gonna Live My Life Remix). I did not care for the Sting track in particular. Never did like Sting to begin with, liked him even less with the song on he contributed to the soundtrack. The Elton John track "Are You Ready For Love" was actually good considering the fact that I don't care for Elton John to begin with. My other personal favorite songs were InGrid's "You Promised Me (Tu Es Foutu)". Awesome club track. I also loved Jamelia's "Superstar", Basement Jaxx's "Good Luck" (which I had already heard from "Kish Kash"), and Kylie Minogue's "Slow". Despite the lame songs from Sting and Prophet Omega, I love the entire cd and will still give it 5 stars.
