I'm not as eloquent as some of the other posters on here regarding musicianship or R.E.M.'s past albums. I've always been just a casual fan. However, Karl Pilkington recommended "Accelerate" on his podcast in a 4-star RAVE review, so I picked it up. Pilkington doesn't rave about anything, so when he likes an album, even the songs that don't necessarily "tell a story", I tend to listen.
It's pretty awesome, it's GREAT for walking around, sitting in the cafe, or on a plane trip to Australia.
Read some of the other reviews for a more detailed interpretation of this amazing CD. I just wanted to throw that out there for anyone interested, innit.
