Free Music Review: great blues with a shot of punk

Not everyone's cup of tea but I love this album. Hugely exciting and textured. The album was done in 4 hours according to RL Burnside and that is kind of the sense you get from the album. Not that it was hastily/sloppily put together but rather it was a jam session, done by professionals. Mad professionals, but professionals nonetheless. Goin Down South and Shake Em On Down are the best tracks, in my opinion, but the rest of the album is excellent as well. This would be an great introduction to RL Burnside if you enjoy rock or punk but are getting into blues. Absolutely mega.
