Free Music Notes for Jewish Holiday Songs for ChildrenFree Music Review: Excellent Jewish Children's Music--That Parents Can Enjoy too! Hit: 5 StarsMy son's preschool teacher recommended this and it is a wonderful collection. The music is compelling and enthusiastic without being sappy or saccharine. The songs are interesting but not too complex for young listeners to follow. Her song choices are dead-on. My son quickly began requesting this when we drove and began singing along even to the Yiddish songs.
Free Music Review: real music, melody and fun Hit: 5 StarsI second everything the first reviewer wrote. Rachel Buchman's voice is lovely and her tone is very appealing to young children. In addition, her music is of a high caliber, so that adults can actually enjoy listening to it (even if your child likes to listen again and again, as mine does). The Sukkah song is especially infectious; we sang it constantly last fall. The songs with Yiddish capture a special quality without seeming foreign; ideal for living room dancing, car entertainment, or pre-school enlightenment. We have purchased her "Song of Seasons" CD as well and listen periodically to both.
Free Music Review: Your kids will love it... Hit: 5 StarsI bought this album for my son when he was three. He loved it, and still does (he is almost 6). He loved it so much I bought another copy and gave it to his pre-school teacher so his whole class could enjoy it. I have heard them singing a number of the songs with great enthusiasm. We have a lot of Jewish albums for kids (everything from Paul Zim to Uncle Moishy) each of which are good in their own way. But for very young children (ages 2-6) it is hard to beat Rachel Buchman.
