Our family loves Raffi's music, and we would love to share his music with you.
Raffi's music is pure magic for children! That's why he has been honored with numerous parent and children awards, sold 13 million albums worldwide, over a million books, and millions of concert videos. He's the Mr. Rogers of children's music. His music is good for children (unlike some of the commerical trash out there). And his music is so much fun!
"Baby Beluga" was certified Double Platinum in North America (and more worldwide). It's a favorite of ours. Our children never tire of these songs, despite playing them over and over. Your child will love it very much. Some say it's the best children's album of all-time.
The song "Baby Beluga" is definitely the best children's song of all time. It's so easy to sing along with, and the words are just great! Share Baby Beluga with your child(ren).

I remember listening to Raffi when I was growing up. I loved his music then and I still love his music now! (I still get Baby Beluga stuck in my head every once in a while even if I don't hear it for a long time!!) Now that my friends are all starting to have kids I'm going to make sure they all have their own copy. I'm a substitute teacher now. I was subbing one day for a music teacher. He left the Raffi video for the kindergarten and 2nd grade classes. They both enjoyed it. I was surprised, though, the 2nd graders seemed to enjoy it a little bit more then the kindergarten. I thought they would be getting a little too old to still love Raffi, but I was wrong. It may have been because the knew the songs more, or because they had seen the tape in previous years, but the 2nd grade loved it. I don't think that the kindergarteners had heard of Raffi before, but once the tape started they knew some of the songs for other places (I heard "Barney sings this song!" from several of them. I tried to explain the Raffi sang them before Barney, but that didn't matter to them.)
Free Music Review: One of the greatest albums of all time

Time and again, Raffi proves and reproves his songwriting prowess as well as his ability to reinvent himself with each record. Let me tell you, this record is no different. Naysayers would have you believe this album is a pretentious, even masturbatory, mesh of children's music cliches, but one needs to look no further than the opening track to see this is simply not true. The song, Baby Beluga, opens to the sound of whales communicating amongst each other. This ambiance is broken almost too soon by Raffi's commanding voice, as he belts out the oh-so-familiar lyrics to a song we all know and love. Other tracks worthy of noting include "Kumbaya" and first single "This Old Man", which features Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums. All in all, this is a VERY solid record and one of the greatest children's albums of all time.Free Music Review: Raffi is the Greatest for Young Children

As a long-time early childhood educator, I highly recommend Raffi to everyone who cares about introducing *quality* music to their children. Raffi's music is "just right" for little ones and so fun to sing and dance along with. You'll find yourself singing along, too! I've reviewed hundreds of children's CD's, and Raffi's music is much better than almost everything else (commercial).My favorites by Raffi are Singable Songs for the Very Young: Great with a Peanut Butter Sandwich, Raffi in Concert, Singable Songs Collection, and Young Children's Concert with Raffi (video), but all of Raffi's CD's are outstanding. Raffi has been recognized for his lifetime achievements for Children. He's the greatest children's music performer of all time. You should share Raffi with the little ones you love.

Raffi is children's troubadour and is honored by many artists and musicians, including me, author of Garden Haiku: Raising Your Child with Ancient Wisdom. All his music CDs are highly recommended and this title is selected and referenced on Garden Haiku p.98. This album is very special with the famous Baby Baluga, who will teach young children to love sea life and be eco-friendly. By asking Baby Baluga "is your mama home?", kids and moms are bound to laugh and imagine themselves to be whales in the big wide ocean. All the songs in this collection are Raffi's classics. This CD is perfect for playtime, a trip to sea world or simply when you want to hear your children's singing and laughing voices.
