I bought this cd in a now-defunct Zany Brainy store when it first came out, principally because the song "Old Toy Trains" is included. My father wrote this song years ago and then sold it to Roger Miller, who is credited as the author of the song. I don't see it on too many cds, so when I saw it I thought I'd give the cd a try, even though I'm not particularly a Raffi fan.
After listening to it, however, I must say that Raffi does a wonderful job, not only on "Old Toy Trains" but on the entire cd. My family and I love the cd from start to finish. I love that many of the songs are unusual and not what you hear played on the radio over and over again. And I love that the songs are not overblown and bombastic, but simplistic and pleasant.
Overall, a great Christmas cd. Not a clunker in the bunch.
