We had this album as a cassette taped off of an LP when I was little and I was so excited to find it still available as a CD for my nephew. After his mother had played an incredibly twee/naff and indescribably dull CD of baby songs on loop it was an enormous relief for me and my nephew to have something funny, lively, catchy and intelligent to listen to. Babies love the bouncy rhythms and older children will benefit from the valuable messages of love, tolerance and an appreciation of multiculturalism and diversity that come through. incredibly singable songs for kids and fantastic value with 3 CDs. This is AMAZING music for kids!!!!! This music is so good! My parents bought us lots of music when we were growing up - lullabies, Seseme Street, classical music, kids music, folk music, Barney, Disney, etc. - but Raffi still stands out as THE best music of our childhood. Raffi is soooo cool and just really good for kids. I wrote a paper about Raffi at school. He's inspired me to study early childhood education. Stanford, here I come!One last thing... limit the amount of time your kids under five watch TV. I wrote a paper on that too. The exception is Mister Rogers. He's an educator.

30 years ago Raffi set the standard, a standard nobody has been able to match since then. Sure there are choices for children's music, but nobody has made a life-long career writing and performing the worlds best family friendly music. Raffi has even written and performed for the Dalia Lama, who in turn, has written the forward to Raffi's "Child Honoring" (www.raffinews.com)
If you're looking to have fun with and enrich your children, Raffi never fails. He is the gold standard. And this collection contains the cornerstones to his career. A great collection starter.

This is the first time I have purchased Raffi in CD format. I have bought many tape copies over the years as gifts for many children. I have travelled by car all over the North American continent with my own children and this music made the trips fun. It was the only music we still played after a trip! I feel like the music helps them put feelings and thoughts into contexts that they can understand. It also entertains the adults. After once through the songs, you will be humming along, after three times through you will be making up verses. Highly Recommended!Free Music Review: We love Raffi!

We love Raffi! I have a dayhome and one day two of my little girls started singing MR. Sun! I asked the girls if they knew the song and we proceeded to sing it. Raffi Singable Songs was one of the tapes I used to sing with my three sons when they were small 30 yrs ago. I went to the computer and ordered the 3disc set and we are enjoying it so much. One of our favorite songs when we eat lunch is Mr. Sun. I was so glad to see that Raffi's music was still available. We also have his Christmas disc and our favorite song is Must Be Santa! Evelyn in Alberta Canada!
