Free Music Notes for Singable Songs For The Very Young: Great With A Peanut-Butter SandwichFree Music Review: Great for baby, great for mom and dad Hit: 5 Stars
My husband got a few raffi cds for our baby girl who is just 8 months old. we play it before and after bathtime, and when in the car. we all love it. his voice is very sweet, gentle, soothing, but fun and upbeat too. songs are very catchy, and like another person said, it is tolerable for adults and good for kids. in fact, i find myself humming "baby baluga" when i am at work and cant be with my baby. i also really like the one about bathtime "like a baby whale, it's my bathtime. in my tub tub tub i'm gonna scrub scrub scrub..." and the one with "shake, shake, shake my sillies out..."
Free Music Review: An absolute children's classic Hit: 5 Stars
When I saw that the average customer review for this CD was anything less than 5 stars +, I had to comment myself. I then saw that it was just that one person (certainly entitled to their opinion -- but from Chgo no less!) was bringing the average down. This CD really is brilliant. My son started listening to it when he was weeks old, and after a few months he smiled (and still does at 10 mos.) every time it came on. I find the songs running through my own head. Anyway, I can't articulate it; I can only recommend that you buy it for a child. It's a wonderful gift.
Free Music Review: Start with this CD and go no further! Hit: 5 Stars
A neighbor and mother of 5 recommended this CD to me. We have children that range from 15yrs to 7 months. We ALL love the songs. My toddler (the biggest fan of course) can be found singing Raffi tunes while playing. The songs are very catchy and hard to shake. I must have sung "Robin in the Rain" hundreds of time to myself. Down By the Bay has brought some very interesting self made rhymes by all of us making it educational! I am now purchasing this CD to give to friends as gifts that children will take a very long time to outgrow!
Free Music Review: A Must for Young Kids! Hit: 5 Stars
I love, love, love, love Raffi!! I remember singing along with him during car rides when I was a kid. I am at the age where many of my friends are starting to have kids, and to my horror a lot of them have not even heard of Raffi...so I am on a mission to get them this CD because it is a great compilation of his songs. Raffi is great!! This CD is great!! I recommend it with all my heart (and I both have personal reasons for liking it, but I am also an occupational therapist working in pediatrics so I am with children a lot of time).
Free Music Review: Really great for kids Hit: 5 Stars
I first heard this album in highschool child developement/ child care class. We had to teach some of the songs to the preschoolers and the songs stuck in my head ever since. I really enjoy the "peanut butter sandwich" song. Now that I have a child I bought her the cd and we listen to it a lot in the car. Raffi's voice isn't annoying like some other child singing characters. He reminds me somewhat of Paul Simon or Peter Paul and Mary. My daughter and I like to sing the Five Little Pumpkins song together. A great cd!
