My three year old and her 1 1/2 year old brother love this collection. With three CD's we have one in the car, one in her room and one in the family room. The songs are memorable and fun. Both kids are starting to sing along even when we aren't listening to the CD's. Free Music Review: raffi songs

My kids have loved him, and we found him one of only a few children's-music singers who didn't wear thin on parent's ears! The others are Fred Penner, Mary Rice Hopkins, and Jonathan Edwards (Little Hands.)
The trouble is when Raffi decides to "go serious" and sing these abysmal "save the diverse planet" stuff. His talent evaporates, and you can feel the smug didactic fog rolling in. A visit to his website is full of such nonsense.
Which gives us a chance to teach a very important lesson to our young kids: being a good singer doesn't mean you are a good or wise person, any more than being a good plumber or left-fielder does. I like the Beatles, but their behaviors outside the studio left much to be desired.
