Free Music Notes for Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981 Film)Free Music Review: This is so famous.. I shouldn't even review it... Hit: 5 Stars
Wow, where have you heard this before? This (and probably Star Wars and Superman) is played everywhere. And why not? It's a great soundtrack to listen to. This soundtrack has a lot of added tracks that was either previously unreleased, or tracks that contain previously unreleased material. The unreleased stuff is pretty good, but it follows with the movie too much and doesn't really go through smoothly. Another great addition to the CD is the 24 page booklet with interviews and other assorted sketches and photos of the movie. This is a wonderful soundtrack with lots of upbeat sounds, just like in it's impressive theme music. A great buy, especially since it's more than an hour long (although on the back it says 74 minutes!).
Free Music Review: You'll love it! Hit: 5 Stars
There's so much I could tell you, I wouldn't have enough time! First of all, the sound quality on this recording is excellent...I feel as if the LSO is right infront of me! All music from the movie is featured on this soundtrack, unlike the other two Indy scores, (yet still remain "Classic, Vintage Williams). I have loved the raiders march for as long as I can remember, and it is especially featured triumphantly in In THE DESERT CHASE cue. All themes are featured in respectable manners, including the Raiders March, Miarian's Theme, The Nazi Motif, and of course, the ark theme. the last two songs are sensational, but the entire album remains superb! Highly reccomended!
Free Music Review: Movie music at it's best Hit: 5 Stars
Williams had a way of doing things. He always is and has been a great composer. In this work, he shows us his mastery of film scoring. First, there's the unforgetable "Raider's Theme", which is a great theme. Who doesn't notice this piece of music when they hear it? Then there's "The Basket Game", "Map Room: Dawn", a great heart pounding cue "Desert Chase", "The German Sub/To the Nazi Hideout", and of course "The Miracle of the Ark" Williams wrote a masterpiece. All of the music is good and the additions are great. Especially "Airplane Fight", "The German Sub/To the Nazi Hideout", and "The Warehouse." If you don't own this soundtrack it is a must have. Go get it!
Free Music Review: Old Movie: Great CD Hit: 5 Stars
The movie came out in 1981, four years before I was born. I like Indiana Jones, they're some of my favorite movies. Some of the best parts are the eerie songs they have during all three films, especially Raiders. Once I found the CD on Amazon, I immediately ordered it. I recieved it way ahead of when it was supposed to arrive. I listened to it to find that it was great. I especially liked reading the interviews in the booklet while I listened to it. This is one of my favorite albums. I'm truly hoping that Lucasfilm makes another Indiana Jones film so I can get the new CD. If you're considering buying this CD, don't hesitate. You'll regret it if you don't!
Free Music Review: Raiders of the Lost Music Hit: 5 Stars
This track is definate up there on my list of favorite soundtracks, just behind Superman: The Movie & Star Wars, both of which had music restored to the tracks recently, and all good music too. While Indiana Jones is a true homage to the old adventure serials, so is the music, but while it is all in homage, it is very GOOD music to listen to. Why the music that was cut outwas cut out to begin with is beyond me, but it's good that they were able to go back and have it restored to give us the full feel of the music in the film . . . and to give us a feel of music for out own adventures.
