I believe Raiders is the best adventure movie of all time. The Lucas/Spielberg combination produces a fast pace, high action, yet religious and historical film. John Williams contibutes to this moive greatly. His music adds to the exitement to the cliffhanger scenes. Williams's love theme adds to the passion of the relationship between Marion and Indy. I would have to say the The Raiders of the Lost Ark music is John Williams greatest contribution to the history of film soundtracks. I recommend it to people who haven't seen the film as well as the fans that have seen it countless times.Free Music Review: This is Indiana Jones.

Williams created a superhero of sorts with this music. And this version (with tons more music than the original soundtrack) is perfect. 74 min. of intense action and B-movie drama is the movie experience. But now the audience can concentrate on the music, the true driving force behind the movie. No one cannot thrill at the action of the Airplane Fight and the Desert Chase, as well as the frightening/wonderful finale where the Ark gets revenge. Any Indy/Williams/or Spielberg fan will absolutely appreciate this CD.Free Music Review: A musical triumph

This CD brings the magic from John Williams' Symphonic Orchestra, the adventures of 'Professor Henry Jones Jr.', or as he calls himself, "Indiana Jones". All the CD's musics brought back to my memory the Disney-MGM's Show Adventures, specially because I took part in this fantastic stunts show. The "Raiders of the Lost Ark" Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD is, simply, the best to remember "Indiana Jones'" Adventures.Free Music Review: Even with the Concorde release, still the best presentation

The Recent Concorde Indiana Jones box set contains additional music, but I still regard this as the best presentation, as it has the full version of the Desert Chase, and superb liner notes in the booklet.
If the Concorde release had an update of these liner notes, and the full version of the Desert Chase, it would have won out, but this edition gets the top by a hair, dispite the slightly muddier souns quality of this set.
