Free Music Review: Herzeleid Breakdown
Hit: 5 Stars

For being Rammsteins first album it is their best album, it portrays the emotion of life and love throught a sick yet awsome way. Every song is unique in its own way neither the songs sond remotely the same. The introduction Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen? is a great way to start an album, they hit you hard with the first song and don't stop. There are many songs on the album that are remembered classics: Der Meister, Seeman, Rammstein and Asche zu Asche; these songs are the key backbone of the album opening up to the adrieniline of passionate Rammstein fans.
I will break down my favorite song on the album: Weisses Fleisch.
The keyboard in the beginning is trippy bringing an effect that techno brings, then going into the drums with the bass in there as well, then out of nowhere, "Weisses Fleisch!" It hits you like a ton of bricks. The guitar brings out the intensity in the song right after the weisses fleisch shout, and then slows down as Till(the singer) begins singing. The chorus is outstanding, brilliant work of art, the lyrics and instruments harmonize so well that it catches your ears. finally the end, ending with the chorus I believe was the best thing for this song, getting the point across that he is just like his father and that he is livin under his fathers image, and just the effect with "erleuchtet.....Mich!" having the song end with Mich symbolizes that its about him and and well it makes the song more intense. I believe this song is their best song and I believe the album herzeleid is their best album.

Free Music Review: Wollt ihr Rammstein in Flammen sehen?
Hit: 5 Stars

First off my cd cover is different, it only shows their heads and the rest is all white. I think that cover looks better but either way it's the same cd whichever cover you get. This is their first cd and it's the most raw and fast paced album that they've made. Wollt ihr.. is their best riff ever but the song goes on about a minute too long. Asche zu Asche has a great fast paced riff but it's not as heavy as I'd like but it still rocks. Seemann is a ballad that slows down the album but it does have some cool heavy sounding guitars thrown in it here and their. Things pick up again with Du riechst ... which is another fast paced fast song with a great riff and beat. Herzeleid is slower but still heavy and the singer says the lyrics a word or 2 at a time and it has a nice keyboard solo. Heirate mich has a mediocre riff but it still works very well. Das Alte Leid is the strangest song here, it doesn't sound like the rest of the songs but it's still good. Rammstein is also slow but heavy and it took me a while to like it but I do. The other songs I didn't mention are also faced paced and good. This cd also has their best guitar solo's, they have a nice warpy feel to them and yes the lyrics are in German, which give it a great sound plus the singer doesn't sound that good singing in English. So if you're a fan or like fast paced music then you should buy this cd.

Free Music Review: Classic Rammstein
Hit: 5 Stars

Being a big fan of "Mutter" and "Sehnsucht", I thought I would complete my Rammstein collection with their first album "Herzeleid". I am a great admirer of the band's work as well as the entire industrial genre. I love the aggressiveness of this type of music, and Rammstein in particular. I may not understand their native language but I can sure feel the emotions the band put into their music. It is probably just as well as that the band sang in German 'cause I wasn't really wild about the english version of their hit "Du Hast". As soon as I popped "Herzeleid" into my cd stereo and cranked up the volume, I absolutely went nuts over the music. I love the sheer aggressiveness of the opening track "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen". The thunderous drums and searing guitars just collided together to make the perfect song. The aggressiveness of this cd doesn't let up on the second track "Der Meister". What really blew me away was the ballad "Seemann". It was so different to hear Til Linderman croon as opposed to growl. Of all the three studio albums Rammstein has put out, "Herzeleid" has to be the most diverse album I have heard. This is by far my favorite Rammstein album with "Mutter" in second, and "Sehnsucht" in third place.

In all the years of existence I have jumped from band to band being satisfied for a month at a time. Then, on a hunch, I bought the latest Rammstein cd, Sehnsucht, and I could just not get enough. I listened to it constantly: over and over again with my stereo cranked to the possible limits of the machine. I thought I could live forever listening to the cd. Then, as I walked through the isles of a popular electronics store(Buy Best) I saw what I had never seen before. It was beautiful. The first Rammstein cd. I could not beleive it. I bought it right then. No questions asked. IT WAS AWESOME. I listened to it all the way I drove home. The pounding bass, the earth shattering guitar, the thudering drums, and the piercing keyboard made me want to cry. Even more, the lead singers voice made me want to tremble. I will never forget the first time I heard it. It will stick in my mind forever. People have continuously asked me, "Why do you listen to that crap? You don't know what he is saying." I say, "SO WHAT???" It doesn't matter what he is saying. Everyone needs to expand their mind a little bit and listen to foriegn artists that are not The Beatles and that aren't classical. You should go out and buy Herzeleid. No questions asked.

Free Music Review: Aweseme Debut
Hit: 5 Stars

This was Rammstein's first CD (Herzeleid meaning heartache), yet it doesn't appear to be a novice work. First off, Rammstein is a techno metal band from Germany, consisting of six members. They have spectacular live performances including flamethrowers and chainsaws. They sing exclusively in German, but have done three songs in English (one of which is on their second CD, Sensucht [Longing]). They've also worked with KMFDM and Faith No More. But to the CD. For anyone who speaks German, this Rammstein album has rather morbid lyrics. For example Heirate Mich (Marry Me) talks of a man whose wife died, and he goes to her graveyard at night to exhume her corpse and embrace it. Weisses Fleisch (White Flesh) is about an alienated student who goes insane. The song Rammstein is about the tragedy at the Air Show at Ramstein Air Force Base in 1989 (a jet crashed into spectators killing 50). The album is dynamic, and holds a certain teutonic curio over the listener. On a side note, no members of Rammstein or either Nazis, Neo-Nazis, or fascists. They are in fact pacifists and rather liberal. If you like Rammstein, also check out Megaherz and Das Ich.If you like techno metal, or German music, this is a must check out.
