Free Music Notes for HerzeleidFree Music Review: Metal zu Metal Hit: 5 Stars
It's amazing that with a standout debut album like this, Rammstein has been able to match it with Sehnsucht and Mutter. This is undoubtedly the best pure metal band of all time. Only a more eclectic mix like the Pumpkins or Marilyn Manson can match them and only the incomparable NIN exceeds. There are no standout songs on this CD since they are all great. The grating repetition that plagues virtually all metal bands is totally absent in Rammstein. It can only be attributed to genius. Also, repeated playings of this and their other two CDs only enhance enjoyment of this incredible music. Interestingly, none of my German business associates like Rammstein, but then they can understand what they are saying!
Free Music Review: Not a 'metal fan' in any way, but this is one great CD Hit: 5 Stars
My dad got me this as something of a joke present to my learning German, but as soon as I got into it, it hasn't let me go since. I love the album and have gotten totally into the band in the few years since my introduction, and I can say, by far and wide, this is the better album of the 2 and Der Meister and Das Alte Leid are the best songs. The only thing I don't like about this CD is if you can understand the lyrics, which are either ridiculously aggressive or perverted and sometimes both, it almost takes all your enjoyment away. But I do love the sound of the German words. Don't buy this CD for its evil intentions, buy it as an inspiration for whatever power you need.
Free Music Review: better than Sehnsucht Hit: 5 Stars
I know all the other reviews say "better than Sehnsucht", and they're right. While Sehnsucht is a wonderful cd, Herzeleid is much more powerful. The guitar riffs are fantastic and the added keyboards are a great touch. You can listen to the entire album without a single disappointment. Although, I must say that Seemann startled me at first. I had to skip through the song a little before I was sure that it was Rammstein. While the mellow parts sound very uncharacteristic of Rammstein, its still a great song (although maybe a little wierd) and becomes very heavy by the end. All in all, its a fantastic cd, and if you like Sehnsucht at all, you must buy this.
Free Music Review: Rammstein Hit: 5 Stars
I wish i had more star choices to rate this CD. Rammstein is the best band ever, and not only in Germany but all around the globe, from the North pole to the South. When i first heard them it was like 5 years ago, but anyway, i am not gonna say anything about that time because i feel a little nostalgic when i talk about Europe, goddamn continent how much i miss it. Anyway, who hasn't heard Rammstein, give it a try guys and girls, i assure you, they're the best. In the beginning when i heard DU HAST, i hated the keyboard coz it reminded me a little of European Techno music, but ask me now what i think of it:) Flake is a god in what he does. Hail to RAMMSTEIN people.
Free Music Review: THIS IS THE ULTIMATE FOREIGN DEBUT! Hit: 5 Stars
"Amazing" is to simple and unexpressive a word to reveal my awe at hearing this German industrial-metal band. Marking their debut, this cd was enough to propel them to mega-stardom in their native Germany. Once you hear it you will understand why. Although completely sung in the German language, you will find yourself delightfully giddy at hearing Lindemann (the lead singer) and his fellow band members belt out songs with an intensity i've yet to see matched. Really amazing and worth your money, even if you don't speak German! You listen to this and you will find yourself buying as much Rammstein stuff as you can get your hands on! I did!
